The Senior International Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing the monthly payroll across multiple Workiva locations in EMEA and APAC. This includes coordinating and reviewing the payroll with the external payroll vendors, ensuring payments are made timely and accurately, and being the first contact point for our employees and internal stakeholders. This role partners closely with the Payroll Operations Manager for EMEA and APAC, as well as with the Workiva Finance and People & Culture teams globally to create a best-in-class employee experience based on local needs and initiatives.
This role is for a fixed-term contract of 10 months for leave coverage
What You'll Do

  • Responsible for the collection and management of all payroll data, ensuring the timely and accurate submission of input to external payroll providers
  • Partner with the Workiva Finance and People & Culture teams to drive excellence in payroll administration and identify areas for improvement and opportunities for positive change
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, collective labour agreements, and company policies while providing expert guidance and support to the team and business on payroll matters
  • Act as a subject matter expert on payroll projects, providing support and leadership on implementation, automation, payroll interfaces, and process improvement initiatives
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing payroll inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Continuously update and maintain the payroll policies and procedures, ensuring they are in line with best practices and evolving regulations


What You'll Need
Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in multinational payroll operations, preferably in a publicly traded company
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of relevant career experience and expertise
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with the following systems is preferred: Workday, CloudPay
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple processes, systems, and procedures simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Is able to adapt to the needs and styles of people from different cultures
  • Identifies and resolves issues in a methodical manner with high attention to detail and critical thinking
  • Ability to provide support within the team always adopting a proactive mindset
  • Is able to work in a high-energy, fast-paced, rapidly changing environment


Travel Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Minimal travel required
  • Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely and not in a Workiva office
