The Smarter Web Company has acquired Bristol-based web design and digital marketing firm Squarebird Agency for £1.7 million, the company announced Monday.

Founded in 2015, Squarebird is a digital agency with a strong client base and delivery track record. Following the acquisition, it will continue to operate as a separate business.

The Smarter Web Company said the acquisition will expand its operational scale and capabilities while increasing recurring revenue and cash flow. Both companies are headquartered in Bristol and expect efficiencies and collaboration opportunities to emerge over time.

CEO Andrew Webley described the deal as part of the company’s next phase of growth after going public in 2025.

“This selective acquisition strengthens our core business, improves recurring revenue and cash flow and enhances our overall financial position,” Webley said in a statement.

Webley added that the transaction supports the company’s long-term strategy, including execution of its Bitcoin treasury strategy and progress toward its 10-year growth plan.
