Join us and play your part in delivering critical civil works at Hinkley Point C, where your contribution really matters. At EDF, “Success is Personal” – shaping your future while powering Britain.

The Opportunity

As an Assistant Project Manager within the BOP1 civil works programme, you’ll support the delivery of one of the largest and most technically complex buildings on site. You’ll help drive safe, high-quality construction that will generate low-carbon electricity for millions of homes, supporting our journey towards An Electric Britain.

You’ll join us on a salary starting from £36,400 per annum. This is a hybrid role based at Hinkley Point C near Bridgwater, with a minimum expectation of three days per week onsite, giving you the chance to collaborate closely with teams driving delivery. After approximately 18-24 months, you’ll relocate to France to join EDF SA on an EPR2 project, such as #Penly, #Bugey or #Gravelines. Hence, you’ll need to offer business-level proficiency in French communication skills.

From coordinating stakeholders to supporting major work packages, you’ll gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. You’ll build your civil engineering expertise while working alongside experienced professionals on a nationally significant project.

Who You Are

  • Experience supporting project delivery within civil engineering or construction environments
  • Experience coordinating project information, reports and progress updates
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders across engineering, construction or project teams
  • Ability to communicate project updates and technical information clearly to stakeholders
  • Understanding of civil works with the ability to interpret and discuss technical information

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting the Project Manager in delivering major civil construction packages within BOP1
  • Coordinating project meetings, tracking actions and maintaining accurate project records
  • Gathering and reporting progress updates, risks and key information to stakeholders
  • Liaising with internal teams and external partners to support integrated project delivery
  • Helping ensure delivery aligns with safety, quality, cost and schedule expectations

Pay, Benefits and Culture

Alongside a starting salary from £36,400 per annum, potential for an annual bonus, and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include customisable benefits such as electric vehicle leasing, discounted gym membership, life assurance, tech vouchers, experience days, and more.

At EDF, we believe there are multiple definitions of what it means to succeed. That’s why we offer you the freedom to develop a career that’s unique to you. Here, Success is Personal – it’s your journey, powered by us.

Everyone is welcome at EDF; we’re committed to building a workforce that reflects gender balance, social mobility, and inclusion of minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+ communities, and those with disabilities. As a Disability Confident employer, we will support applicants requiring adjustments.

Closing date for applications is Sunday 12th July 2026
