The impact of the role:
The Back-End Developer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the server-side logic, databases, and APIs that power our applications. You will ensure robust performance, scalability, and security across our digital platforms while contributing to the development of reliable, high-quality backend services.
On a given day, a Back-End Developer will:
- Design and implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs for seamless front-end integration.
- Develop and maintain relational and non-relational databases ensuring data integrity and performance.
- Write clean, efficient, and scalable server-side code using languages like Node.js, Python, Java, or .NET.
- Implement authentication, authorization, and data protection best practices.
- Optimize server performance and troubleshoot bottlenecks.
- Work closely with front-end developers, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Maintain clear documentation and write unit/integration tests to ensure code reliability.
Requirements
In order to be successful in this role you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in back-end development.
- Proficiency in server-side languages (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java).
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with API design and integration.
- Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Knowledge of security best practices.

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines.
