As an experienced Bid Writer in the Healthcare sector of our Services business, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the high quality of our proposals and bid documents to win new business. You will work closely with sales leads, bid teams and the pre-sales team to understand buyer requirements, our proposed solution/service, write high-scoring bid content, and guide the bid team to ensure end-to-end quality of the proposal/bid.
Key responsibilities will include:

Understanding the buyer’s requirements.

Maintaining a detailed knowledge of our past project delivery and case studies.

Working closely with the sales lead and bid team to understand the proposed solution/service in response to the buyer’s requirements.

Collaborating with the sales lead to clearly define the win themes.
-
Designing storyboards and the structure of the proposal or bid document to maximise clarity.
-
Writing compelling and well-structured content that accurately describes the proposed solution/service and incorporates the agreed win themes.

Collaborating with designers to create compelling visuals to accompany or supersede written content.

Guiding the bid team authors on writing high-quality proposal/bid content.

Reviewing the final drafts to ensure clarity, inclusion of win themes, and consistency of language, terminology, tone of voice etc.

Working with review teams to identify lessons and be responsible for establishing and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement to bid quality.

Working with the pre-sales team to help them to maintain ‘gold standard’ content.
Minimum (essential) requirements:
-
5+ years-experience of writing high-scoring bid content relevant to UK healthcare and Public Sector procurements.

Understand technical detail relating to the delivery of digital services (including bespoke software delivery, agile methodologies etc).

Work effectively in a team.

Experience of interviewing subject matter experts (business and technical) to produce accurate written content.

Sound awareness of technology trends.
-
Communicate and present complex ideas clearly both verbally and in writing.

Plan and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment maintaining a meticulous attention to detail.

Mentoring and coaching others to produce high-quality content.
Desirable:
-
Experience of understanding how Generative AI tooling can improve the efficiency of bid production without compromising accuracy of message.

Visual design experience to develop compelling illustrations.
