The Sr. Manager of Brand Strategy will be a key leader within the marketing team, responsible for developing and executing the brand strategy for the Commercial Services arm of Cox Communications. This role will be instrumental in defining strategy and positioning for multiple brands under the Cox Commercial Services umbrella. This individual will partner closely with product, sales, marketing, and executive leadership across the Commercial Services business units to create a brand culture and experience that aligns with Cox's vision that enhances customer acquisition, retention, and growth in B2B segments.
What You'll Do
Brand Strategy Development & Activation:

  • Develop, enhance, and implement the comprehensive brand strategy for Cox Commercial Services' portfolio, ensuring brand differentiation across business units and the managed IT, XaaS, cybersecurity, and connectivity sectors.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align the business unit brand narratives with company objectives.
  • Advise on the creation, refinement, and activation of brand positioning and messaging, ensuring consistency across digital, print, and in-person channels.


Multi-Brand Portfolio Management:

  • Manage and refine the brand architecture for the Commercial Services portfolio, ensuring each brand's unique value proposition is clear while maintaining alignment under the parent brand.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure business unit brands within Cox Business (e.g., RapidScale, Segra, HN, BlueprintRF) are optimally positioned in their respective markets.


Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy Support:

  • Partner with the marketing and sales leadership teams to support the execution of GTM strategies for new product and service launches, ensuring brand alignment and market penetration.
  • Support the development and execution of targeted campaigns that communicate customer value, focusing on B2B segments including e-tail, SMB, mid, enterprise, and high value vertical customers.


Market Research & Insights:

  • Collaborate with marketing sciences, analytics, and customer insights teams to leverage market data driving continuous brand optimization and campaign refinement.
  • Partner with Competitive Intelligence team to monitor competitor branding and industry trends to identify opportunities for Cox business units to differentiate and grow market share.


Brand Governance & Consistency:

  • Oversee the development of brand guidelines and assets for business units, maintaining consistency across all customer touchpoints.
  • Ensure all marketing communications adhere to brand standards, providing strategy and structure for visual identity, tone of voice, and messaging to internal teams and external partners.


Performance & ROI Tracking:

  • Set key performance indicators and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of branding efforts, regularly reporting on ROI and adjusting strategies as necessary.
  • Partnering with marketing analytics, customer insights, and competitive research teams, utilize advanced analytics and AI tools to assess campaign performance and brand perception, informing future initiatives.

Who You Are
Minimum

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 8 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 6 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 3 years' experience in a related field; or 12 years' experience in a related field
  • 5+ years of brand strategy experience, with 5 years in the B2B telecom/technology sector desired.
  • Strong understanding of managed IT services, cybersecurity, and B2B telecom markets, with experience in transitioning brands through significant growth or transformation.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-brand portfolios and align them under a cohesive parent brand.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience leveraging data analytics to drive brand decisions and improve performance.


Preferred

  • Measurable success in developing integrated marketing campaigns or activations across multiple channels.
  • Familiarity with managing visual identify of brands and products and governing go to market campaigns.
  • Proficiency in lifecycle or data management tools and software.


USD 106,700.00 - 177,900.00 per year
Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $106,700.00 - $177,900.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
Benefits:
The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination leave.
