Department Overview
The Expansion Portfolio Sales Team drives sales of the Motorola Solutions’ latest technology throughout the EMEA region, through effective customer engagement including meetings, presentations, customer webinars and demonstrations. The team provides domain expertise to the sales teams for all Motorola Solutions’ Expansion Portfolio with the key responsibility of driving growth through both existing and new channels.
We’re seeking a highly motivated & skilled Business Development Manager to join our Expansion Technology team at Motorola Solutions. With a focus on WAVE PTX and Body Worn Video for DACH, BENE, Southern and Eastern Europe. The successful candidate will focus on developing net new, mid to large enterprise accounts in various verticals (retail, hospitality, transport and logistics, education, as well as others), in addition to serving as the high level sales contact for current accounts served via our channel partners.
Job Description

The objective of this role is to identify and evaluate potential sales leads for the Expansion Technology product lines, effectively communicate the proposition and foster relationships with new and existing channel partners and end users alike. You will need to build a deep understanding of our products and eco system and present them effectively while planning and executing sales strategies to achieve our business revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: This is first and foremost a hunter role. The primary focus is new account acquisition which includes but is not limited to cold-calling, securing pilots, contract negotiation and closure.

  • Strategic Account Management: Develop and execute overall account strategy for key accounts, aligning with the Expansion Technology Team and Channel Sales Team  for day to day account management.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including presales engineers, marketing, product management, sales operations, and order/credit management, as well as channel teams and partners to drive new account acquisitions.

  • Forecasting & Pipeline Management: Provide accurate sales forecasts on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. Monitor and maintain a healthy pipeline to ensure predictable and sustainable growth. Achieve monthly/ quarterly sales targets.

  • Customer Engagement: Working closely with key decision-makers in customer organizations, as well as conducting joint sales calls with resellers and distributors to drive end-user demand. Represent the company at industry events, meetings and conferences.

  • Market Awareness: Stay informed about competitive dynamics and emerging technology trends that could impact Motorola Solutions.

  • CRM Excellence: Ensure accurate and up-to-date customer intelligence and reporting within Motorola’s CRM system.

  • Revenue Target Execution: Leverage promotions, incentives, and marketing programs to achieve quarterly revenue targets while driving customer adoption of Motorola Solutions’ portfolio.
     


Basic Requirements

Please note this role is remote and requires significant travel covering DACH, BENE, Southern and Eastern Europe.

Specific knowledge/ skills:

  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills: Fluent in English with an ability to build rapport, present ideas effectively, and negotiate effectively. Other European languages would be beneficial.

  • Business acumen & strategic thinking: Understanding of business principles, market dynamics, and strategic planning. Strong understanding of distribution channels, reseller ecosystems, and indirect sales models as well as Direct Sales experience

  • Sales & negotiation skills: Experience in sales, lead generation, and negotiation

  • Market Research and Analysis Skills: Ability to conduct market research, analyse data, and identify opportunities

  • Relationship Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with C-level executives, distributors, and partners

  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to identify problems, analyse situations, and develop solutions

  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the industry in which WAVE PTX and Body Worn Video operates - experience in technology, communications, and AI

  • Experience using Google Suite applications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, sales or a related field or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, marketing or business development roles

  • Remote based role, travel required
