Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Public Sector team at JLT. This role will be based in Hobart. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

The Claims Administrator will perform all administrative functions required in the claims process for all workers compensation claims, ensuring positive outcomes for clients in line with business objectives and performance indicators.

JLT act as the Fund Administration Agent (FAA) to the Tasmanian Risk Management Fund (the Fund).  The Department of Treasury and Finance (the Department) administers the Fund to provide a whole-of-government approach to funding and managing the insurable liabilities of inner Budget agencies.

Our team delivers services to the Fund and its Agencies through Executive account stewardship by the Senior Management Team and proactive management of claims, facilitated by our in-house Claims Management Team.

We will count on you to:

  • Perform data entry and claims lodgement for workers compensation claims.
  • Process claims payments, including follow-ups on invoices.
  • Finalise claims and close files as required.
  • Respond to queries and assist the Claims Consultant with various tasks.
  • Ensure quality assurance and adherence to service level agreements.

What you need to have:

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in administration/data entry.
  • Ability to work effectively in a small team environment.
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills, demonstrating empathy and integrity.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing deadlines and prioritise tasks.

What makes you stand out:

  • Knowledge of the Workers Compensation Act – Tasmania.
  • Familiarity with Workers Compensation Claims Handling (desirable but not essential).
