What you’ll do
Your key accountabilities will include:
- Partner with leaders across Retail, People, Digital & Technology and Finance to create and deliver colleague communications that support business priorities, transformation programmes and strategic change.
- Develop engaging content and campaigns across a range of channels including newsletters, town halls, huddles and IRIS, ensuring colleagues remain informed, inspired and connected to the M&S strategy.
- Create compelling stories that bring transformation, culture and performance to life, helping colleagues understand both the long-term vision and the day-to-day activity that supports it.
- Lead communications around colleague-focused initiatives including wellbeing, development, benefits, DE&I activity and charity partnerships, helping reinforce M&S as a great place to build a career.
- Measure the effectiveness of communications, gather insight from colleagues and use data and feedback to continually improve engagement and communication outcomes.
Who you are
We're looking for an experienced internal communications professional who thrives in a fast-paced, complex environment and enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders. You'll be a confident storyteller, able to translate business strategy into clear, engaging communications that resonate with colleagues at every level.
You'll bring:
- Significant internal communications experience, ideally gained within a large, complex organisation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience supporting transformation, change or culture programmes.
- A strong background in strategic messaging, communication planning and campaign delivery.
- Experience creating or overseeing multi-channel content, including events, video and visual communications.
- The ability to build strong relationships, influence stakeholders and deliver at pace
