COMMERCIAL FINANCE ANALYST RESPONSIBILITIES

We’re looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to support the Finance Manager and Finance Director across reporting, forecasting, and financial operations.

This is a broad, high-impact role offering exposure across the full finance cycle — from month-end and revenue recognition through to forecasting, analysis, and business partnering.

If you’re someone who enjoys both the detail and the bigger picture, this role will give you real ownership and visibility. You will support Amdaris by driving the automation and optimisation of finance-related systems and processes across the organisation. This role plays a key part in enhancing operational performance, ensuring scalable solutions, and improving our ability to respond to complex business challenges.

Commercial Finance Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Deliver monthly management reporting with insightful commentary (MoM, YoY, variance analysis)
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Assist in preparation of board packs and financial analysis
  • Support month-end close (revenue recognition) and invoicing
  • Support the work order to revenue process (contracts, invoicing, revenue alignment)
  • Review revenue against forecasts and identify variances
  • Assist with business cases, cost analysis, and performance insights and other ad hoc reporting
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting and automate processes
  • Support development of scalable finance processes in a growing business
  • Lead internal project teams to deliver system integrations and application development aligned to business and finance goals
  • Act as Product Owner for Amdaris' internally developed expense management application
  • Lead the implementation and administration of off-the-shelf finance-supporting systems (e.g., travel booking, invoice scanning tools)

 COMMERCIAL FINANCE ANALYST REQUIREMENTS

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2–5 years’ experience in a finance role
  • Studying towards ACCA / CIMA (or recently qualified)
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills
  • Experience with both month-end and financial analysis
  • Proactive, curious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have (but not essential)

  • Experience in a software / SaaS business
  • Exposure to revenue recognition
  • Experience with financial systems (e.g. NetSuite, Power BI)
