At PayPal, Content Designers work side by side with UX Designers, Product Owners, and UX Researchers to create customer experiences that empower people and businesses financially around the world.

Your day-to-day

In your day-to-day role, you will 

  • Plan, design and write U.S. English content for merchant product experiences (across all touch points including logged in, app, navigation and UI, notifications, and email) 

  • Understand the audience(s) for your content and how our products help them 

  • Present your work and articulate your approach to teammates, product owners, and other stakeholders 

  • Collaborate with Design on layout, interactions, and visual tone, ensuring we create a consistent end-to-end experience 

  • Ensure that your content aligns with legal and compliance requirements, including preparing your work for legal submission 

  • Use data and research to evaluate your content’s impact, and push for continuous improvement that shows real results 

  • Maintain and evolve PayPal’s content standards, including voice and tone. 

  • Learn a lot, make an impact, have fun 

What do you need to bring 

  • Extensive experience writing content for interactive user 
    experiences as part of a product design team 

  • Experience writing about financial services, payments, B2B is preferred 

  • Excellent, highly creative writing and critical-thinking skills 

  • Experience working with content standards, such as style and voice and tone guidelines 

  • Fluency with Figma required 

  • Experience with generative AI tools a plus  

  • At ease managing multiple projects, setting stakeholder expectations, working individually and collaborating across teams 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Design, Information Science or related fields is appreciated, but not required.
