QED (https://qed.ai) is a tech company focused on public health and food security in Sub-Saharan Africa. We build the digital infrastructure and AI used at the intersection of aid and scientific inquiry, including surveillance of HIV and malaria, and nutrient analysis of crops and soils, working at national-scale in several African countries. Our funding comes from multiple philanthropic and governmental organizations, including the Global Fund, Gates Foundation, CDC, and USAID.

We are looking for a copywriter to join our team.

Work with us and contribute to these projects
  • Write about our awesome projects in a popular science style that is accessible to general audiences

  • Content generation for web and social media marketing campaigns

  • Formal journal publications in epidemiology and public health


Basic Requirements
  • +5 years of experience in writing in any of the following areas:

  • marketing, preferably in relation to health, international development, Africa, and/or technology

  • expert English wordsmith with razor-sharp precision (C2-level is a minimum)

  • natural passion and domain expertise for something in this list: medicine, public health, agriculture, Africa

  • Highly preferred full-time employment of at least 40 hours per week. Promising students with exceptional skills should contribute at least 24 hrs/week.

  • Good fluency in English speaking and writing (typing > 35 wpm).

  • Critical thinking skills, expressiveness, and team-oriented attitude.

  • And you have to care about the work that you do!
