Department Overview
The Customer Support Field Engineer (CSE) will be part of Spain Services Organization, led by a group of dedicated Radio System & IP Network-based professional engineers, who bring together a wide range of skills and experience that provide critical system support to Motorola Solutions Mission Critical Customers both in Spain and across Europe. Such systems include Land Mobile Radio solutions, Software solutions such as Mission Critical Broad Band Push to Talk (MCPTT), Command and Control solutions, through to Two-way Radio products.
Job Description

The CSE will be part of a unique engineering team that predominantly performs maintenance (Preventative and Corrective) activities, implementation of critical software patches, provides technical support during major software upgrades, as well as providing technical support with system expansions, growing either the existing system or implementing new solutions.

The CSE will be expected to travel to customer locations to perform their duties.

Basic Requirements

What we expect:

  • Readiness to undergo and pass detailed security-vetting checks based on country and customer requirements

  • University degree or Technical degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent education

  • Experience working in a similar field would be beneficial

  • Good knowledge of IP network architecture and its components, Server Virtualization & Operating Systems, Database Servers, Network Switches, Firewalls, and Routers

  • CCNA certification, CompTIA Network+ and Security+ certification would be beneficial

  • Availability & willingness to perform On-call duty (24/7)

  • Availability and willingness to travel, inside and outside Spain

  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and meet strict deadlines

  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills to solve problems and make decisions

  • High degree of independence and assertiveness;

  • Perfect written and oral communication skills in Spanish and English. Additional languages would be advantageous.

  • EU citizenship with residence in Spain

  • Class B driving license.

Employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check.
