As a Data Analytics Manager, you will define and drive the data and analytics strategy for our organization. This critical role will be responsible for guiding our data initiatives, collaborating with offshore engineering teams, and ensuring the accuracy and accessibility of data. The Data Analytics Manager will also oversee the transition to Snowflake for advanced data management and analytics capabilities.

What you’ll do

Key Objectives

  • Contribute to the development of the organization's data and analytics roadmap in collaboration with the Senior Product Manager, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
  • Drive the strategy and execution for transitioning to Snowflake as our future data warehousing solution.
  • Implement and promote best practices in data governance, quality, and security.
  • Ensure the data reporting infrastructure is robust, scalable, and reliable through collaboration with offshore engineering teams.
  • Manage the development of dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau, facilitating data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Data Strategy Development:

  • Define and implement a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with business objectives.
  • Lead the continuous development and optimization of our data warehousing capabilities.
  • Develop best practices in data governance, quality, and security.

Data Analytics & Reporting:

  • Lead efforts to generate actionable insights through data analysis to inform decision-making across the organization.
  • Oversee the creation of dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Ensure data accessibility, reliability, and effective integration across systems.

Collaboration with Engineering Teams:

  • Work closely with offshore engineering teams to manage and enhance data pipelines, ETL processes, and the overall reporting infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with IT and data engineers to optimize data flows and ensure smooth integration with business systems.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of SQL queries, stored procedures, and other database scripts.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for all data and analytics-related initiatives, working closely with the Senior Product Manager and other department heads.
  • Effectively communicate the data strategy to stakeholders at all levels within the organization.

This might describe you

  • Proficient in SQL with hands-on experience in relational databases.
  • Skilled in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or equivalent.
  • Understanding of ETL processes and data integration.
  • Knowledge of Snowflake or similar cloud-based data warehouse platforms is a plus.
  • Proven experience in managing and executing data strategies in medium to large organizations.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and manage relationships with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working with offshore engineering teams and managing remote collaborations.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of how data can drive business outcomes.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into data solutions.

Over and above

  • Experience with cloud-based data warehousing solutions, particularly Snowflake.
  • Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment.
  • Familiarity with Python for data analysis and automation.

Other things to note

This position can be worked as remote position within the United Kingdom.

Familiarity with public company requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley and key regulations, if applicable. For SOX compliant roles, responsible for designing, executing, and documenting internal controls where they have been identified as owners to prevent errors in financial reporting, processes, and business operations. Including attestation to the completeness, accuracy, and compliance of all financial reporting data, where applicable.
