What You’ll Do:

The Data Center Design team is a critical group responsible for the foundational infrastructure that powers CoreWeave's hyper-growth. This team works cross-functionally with internal stakeholders in Construction, Operations, and Engineering, as well as external partners, to deliver best-in-class data center facilities.

About the role: As the Manager for Data Center Design, you will be the primary design leader for multiple data center projects, from greenfield builds to tenant fit-outs. Your day-to-day will involve managing the work of our data center providers and their A/E consultants to ensure all architectural, MEP, and IT infrastructure designs meet CoreWeave’s rigorous requirements for performance, scalability, and efficiency. You will act as the single point of contact for design on your assigned projects, coordinating with internal subject matter experts and providing support through the construction phase to ensure flawless execution. This is a hybrid role, from one of our office locations, and the role requires regular travel to various data center sites to oversee design implementation.

Who You Are:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil), Architecture, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in data center engineering or design.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully completing data center design projects (e.g., greenfield construction, tenant fit-outs, build-to-suit).
  • Technical knowledge of critical data center infrastructure systems, including cooling (air/water-cooled chiller plants, liquid cooling), power distribution (UPS systems, generators), and Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Experience with the design requirements of large-scale, high-density data centers and cloud infrastructure.
Preferred:
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license.
  • Professional certifications such as Uptime Institute (ATD, ATS, AOS), BICSI (RCDD), or LEED AP.

Wondering if you’re a good fit? We believe in investing in our people, and value candidates who can bring their own diversified experiences to our teams – even if you aren't a 100% skill or experience match. Here are a few qualities we’ve found compatible with our team. If some of this describes you, we’d love to talk.

  • You love to manage complex, concurrent projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with budgets and schedules.
  • You’re curious about new technologies and design concepts, constantly seeking innovative solutions to enhance project outcomes.
  • You’re an expert in coordinating between diverse groups of technical experts, external partners, and internal stakeholders to achieve a unified project goal.
