The Opportunity
#The Data Discovery Analyst will be responsible for leading the discoveries with individual Local Authorities – ensuring that all data sources are revealed and documented, which can be non-digital and digital in nature into a common and defined schema on behalf of the end customer. This role requires engaging with multiple stakeholders and third parties as well as being an immersive role with respect to data. 

The role will involve:

•    Establishing and understanding the format, quality, content, and sources of data.
•    Completing analysis of processes which can be summarised in detailed process flows and related artefacts.
•    Report writing, summarising findings of the existing, mature Discovery process.
•    Managing customer expectations and guiding them through uncertainty.
•    Feeding into process and tools improvements.
•    Supporting the team in other areas of the transformation process when required.

About You

We are looking for someone who can absorb and apply detailed legislation, as well as a demonstrable track record in customer process mapping and report writing. Alongside this, a keen interest and experience of working with data is essential.

You will also have/be:

•    Good communication skills with the ability to work with all levels of stakeholders
•    Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Strong experience of Excel and Word
•    Experience of writing customer facing reports
•    Experience of creating process flows for the ‘As Is’ process
•    GIS experience 
•    Previous customer-facing experience 
•    An understanding of Local Authorities (ways of working and terminology) would be an advantage
•    Have a willingness to travel when required – roughly every 2 weeks
