LOCATION(S): Bristol or Halifax

HOURS: Full-time - 35 hours per week

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

Lloyds Banking Group recognises the importance of data and analytics as key business differentiators in the financial services companies. Across the banking industry Data Management and Analytics is receiving increased attention and focus. We're looking to drive a sophisticated approach to how we manage data to support transformation and digitisation of the business and optimise interaction with our customers.

You'll be part of a team supporting key projects and initiatives across the Group to help realise our aspirations. This will include data change activities, and responsibilities central to data strategy development.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Day to day, you will:

  • Support senior leaders with the delivery of the Group Data & AI Strategy, Data Management operating model and the embedding of standards and frameworks to ensure we deliver and maintain a satisfactory control environment

  • Oversee the adoption of Producer and Consumer accountabilities and supporting the delivery of effective data management delivery so that data value outcomes can be achieved

  • Facilitate experiments that run to bring fresh thinking, technologies and progressive approaches to our data management practices

  • Drive the embedding of Data Management into the Group’s change activity to ensure we realise the value of data and innovate safely and at pace

  • Lead the Group’s community of data practitioners, providing ongoing support and engagement

  • Define and embed standard methodologies and data operating model, including the articulation of roles and responsibilities throughout the Group as part of the Producer/Consumer Method

  • Advocate the identification and evaluation of new internal and external innovation opportunities that enhance our existing data management capabilities or deliver a new source of value

  • Support the creation of committee and board level updates and reports to detail progress of initiatives

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Proven experience and knowledge across all Data Management disciplines, and knowledge of data role types and responsibilities. With knowledge of how to utilise these capabilities and the tooling to enable our community

  • Operational and conduct – a demonstrable understanding of operational risk and ability to articulate the risks posed by lack of data management control. Foresight to identify, mitigate and report risks across IT, business and corporate functions

  • Teamwork and collaboration – you'll have worked proactively and effectively with colleagues to tackle business problems. Building strong working relationships with senior leaders to implement change and secure consensus for Data Management initiatives to align with business objectives

  • Critical thinking and sophisticated problem solving – you can demonstrate the ability to approach problems in a pragmatic way, identify root cause and draw logical conclusions to develop solutions and make recommendations

  • Communication and engagement – clear and effective communication of initiatives, standard methodologies and advisory services must be a core skill. Telling the story of Data Management so it’s understood by a wide range of colleagues and empower them to take action

  • Outward looking perspective – demonstrating a strong foundational knowledge of the external risk landscape, having engaged with cross industry communities and thought leaders
