About the role
This is an exciting new opportunity to lead the corporate design for Haleon. You will be an integral part of the broader design community working closely with the global design centre of excellence lead and will be responsible for providing a holistic view of design thinking across all aspects of the corporate brand.
Reporting directly into the Haleon global brand lead you will be responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of a world-class corporate brand experience (both globally and across all operating markets), ensuring design quality, consistency, and the delivery of design excellence to help Haleon build its corporate brand reputation internally and externally.
This role is responsible for managing all aspects of the corporate brand remit including the brand digital platform and guidelines, photography, tonality, shopper, digital, expert, conferences and events, experiences, and the visual identity of our employer branding.
As Haleon owns multiple consumer-facing brands, this role is also critical to ensuring Haleon shows up consistently not just on corporate materials but across all our products, packaging, and marketing assets. There is an expectation that you will develop, create, and drive innovative design programmes throughout the enterprise that build the corporate reputation and act to demonstrate that Haleon is a world-class, inclusive, design led organisation.
Key Responsibilities

Work in collaboration with the Haleon brand lead and the global design lead as well as independently to build and manage an ongoing solid strategic design plan and design vision for Haleon.

Lead and apply design principles to all aspects of Haleon communications materials and branding including visual positioning, visual brand language (VBL), and design guidelines to ensure high quality and consistency.

Run and maintain the Haleon branding portal including ensuring key assets are fully compliant to the appropriate data, privacy, and licencing agreements.

Manage, maintain, and update the Haleon full suite of assets including all photography, moving image and other critical visual identity elements.

Develop people and teams (e.g. coach, train and champion) to drive advocacy for consistent Haleon design within the organisation.

Deliver against the expectations for design at Haleon for superior stakeholder experiences that are inclusive and sustainable.

Create and sign off design briefs for design projects, lead/manage all creative design aspects of Haleon campaigns and initiatives.

Brand stewardship - monitor design consistency & quality via VBL tracking.

Effective management of design agencies with a cost-conscious approach to budget utilisation.

Collaborate with creative agencies to generate impactful work that incorporates meaningful and distinctive brand assets to drive corporate reputation, feeling and fluency.

Partner with the global Employer Brand and Recruitment Marketing team to increase their asset portfolio in the Haleon brand portal to support their external social engagement plan.

Engage and collaborate with all key business partners (Employer Brand, Channels, Expert) when planning asset creation (specifically image creation) to ensure we are maximising investment and meeting the multiple business requirements.

Identify manage platform/partner partnerships e.g. Getty, Shutterstock etc for the Haleon brand.
Required Experience / Qualifications

Strong corporate and/or global brand design experience applied in business settings with demonstrated success.

Commercial and corporate acumen developed from experience of being part of a multifunctional team.

Design expertise/ understanding of all aspects of corporate branding including process and implementation, design thinking and how this applies to business, knowledge of a global design culture, design communication, design organization and design structures.

Experience of other Design disciplines including brand identity, visual identity, PR, communications, advertising and digital.

Experience with global design partners working on global design projects.

Experience of managing design budgets.

A working knowledge and experience of print processes, technicalities, and finishing.

Experience in successfully cooperating with multiple functions and people of different levels internally and externally (multiple design partners) and effectively managing design to deliver business objectives.

Track record of managing design within business and developing excellent functional reputation internally and externally.

Ability to recognize, respond to (internal and external) expectations with sense of urgency.

Ability to take actions, make decisions & to generate ideas, strategies, processes in a timely manner, whilst working across multiple projects at the same time.

Experience of verbal and authoring written design briefs.

Robust knowledge of sustainable and inclusive design practices with the ability to apply.

Ability to utilise creative imagination and flair to deliver results.

A good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant software.
Preferred Experience / Qualifications

A bachelor's or master's degree in design or a related field.

At least seven years of design experience or three years of design management experience.

Understanding of the strategic challenges (competitive, environmental, consumer trends, corporate capabilities) and competitive environment facing consumer health businesses and brands
