About this role in the team:

As a DevOps Engineer you will be working with the rest of the team to collaborate closely with our engineers to deploy, operate and enhance the global digital infrastructure. Building and maintaining the tools for deployment and monitoring operations whilst troubleshooting and solving any problems the engineering team may face whilst getting their code in front of its users.

Location: We have a flexible Hybrid/Remote working policy that enables us to hire talent across the EMEA region, with a preference for candidates in South Africa, Bulgaria, Serbia, and Poland to foster collaboration with our existing team.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management of deployment pipelines.
  • Assist in the day to day running of cloud infrastructure and kubernetes clusters.
  • Help development teams to deploy their software in a timely manner.
  • Write scripts to automate repetitive tasks.
  • Work with fellow team members to deliver strategic improvement projects.

What we need from you:

  • We would like to see knowledge of the latest DevOps tools and practices. Experience of Git, Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD and any cloud platform (we use AWS) is required.
  • We love automation so experience with scripting is essential. 
  • Understanding application profiling and observability tools including Prometheus/Grafana and large-scale distributed systems would also be beneficial. Knowledge of networking and web protocols would be a plus.
