Position Summary

Join our Developer Relations team at Platform.sh as an experienced DevRel Engineer where you’ll play a key role in transforming how technical communities engage with our platform. Create engaging blogs, tutorials, and demos, represent Platform.sh at leading developer events, and advocate for features that make the developer experience exceptional. Let’s build a stronger developer community together!

This dynamic role combines technical expertise and creative communication, offering the chance to grow our user base through innovative content, vibrant community programs, and strategic partnerships. By focusing on Python and Node.js frameworks, you’ll forge deep connections with developers and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to drive adoption and awareness.

What to expect

  • Experiment with deploying and optimizing web frameworks and tools on our cloud application platform, guided by your expertise, user requests, new features, and event follow-ups.
  • Convert technical experiments into impactful content such as documentation, blogs, videos, livestreams, and conference talks.
  • Support community members by addressing friction points, escalating feedback to the Product team, and enhancing the developer experience.
  • Represent Platform.sh at events by managing the booth, delivering product demos, and identifying leads for Advocacy or Sales follow-up.
  • Run a community program to raise awareness of our products and brand, ensuring opportunities are effectively shared with the appropriate teams.

What you bring

  • A collaborative spirit and ability to work cross-functionally to align technical advocacy with company goals.
  • A passion for understanding developer needs and advocating for product improvements based on their challenges.
  • Strong familiarity with the CFP submission process and a history of delivering impactful developer-focused talks.
  • Expertise in deploying and optimizing Python and/or Node.js web frameworks, with substantial writing experience in these areas.
  • Experience contributing to or engaging with open-source projects or communities.
  • 5+ years of experience in Developer Advocacy or Relations, with a proven track record in technical content creation, public speaking, and community engagement.

Bonus Points for

  • Contribution history to open source libraries. 
  • Experience with generative AI, LLMs, RAG tooling. 
  • Experience with live content production, such as podcasts and livestreams.
