Key responsibilities
- Product Strategy and Vision: Develop and communicate the vision and strategy for digital product/s.
- Provide input on decomposing complex problems into smaller manageable tasks by creating and prioritizing a backlog for the Product Team.
- Engage in discovery/test & learn activities to quickly validate assumptions and product direction.
- Represent the “voice of the customer”; invest significant time with current and potential customers to understand their needs and habits.
- Define and manage metrics to measure the success of your efforts and to inform the overall product strategy.
- Authors, tests, and accepts stories.
- Contribute to creating the product strategy for one or more products in our growing digital product portfolio.
- Product Development, collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and launch new digital products
- Create and continuously maintain a product roadmap that aligns with business goals and customer needs.
- Define product performance metrics & monitor product performance using analytics tools and make data-driven decisions.
Essential criteria
- All candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK. Allstate is unable to provide sponsorship for this position.
- Proven experience of at least 3+ years as a Digital Product Manager (Senior Consultant level) or 4+ years for the Digital Product Manager (Lead level) or 5+ years for the Digital Product Manager (Expert level).
- Product experience in End User, Network, Compute, or Platform as a Service domain.
- Experience in technical areas such as cloud, networking, identity and access management, infrastructure as code, automation or data.
- Proven delivery across multiple Agile release cycles, with hands-on use of tools (e.g., Jira, ADO) to manage backlogs, prioritisation, and delivery tracking.
- Experience working with engineering, UX/UI, and business stakeholders to deliver 1–2+ product initiatives, including defining requirements or user stories.
- Evidence of communicating product vision, roadmaps, or complex concepts to multi-level stakeholders, including leading demos, reviews, or roadmap sessions.
- Proven use of product metrics and analytics to prioritise and improve products, including tracking KPIs and delivering incremental releases.
Additional Responsibilities for Lead and Expert Digital Product Manager
- 2+ years’ experience (Expert level) leading cross-functional, geographically distributed teams, with evidence of influencing delivery outcomes across product, engineering, and platform stakeholders
- Proven experience influencing across product management peers within the product family, as well as across the product managing engineer & platform consultant
- Proven experience owning and executing product strategy and roadmap independently, including prioritising initiatives and delivering outcomes across multiple release cycles
- Proven experience operating as a ‘coach’ partnering & mentoring early-in-trade product management peers across a broader technology organisation; a known expert in the organization
Desirable Experience
- Experience working in the insurance industry or with enterprise-level software solutions.
