What you'll do

You’ll be joining our Digital domain, where our digital strategy is driving the delivery of a digital ecosystem that improves the customer experience, enables our colleagues to better serve our customers, and achieves the growth and revenue goals of our business. ​

You’ll drive the focus on delivering customer value by following the defined programme as directed by senior managers, including the preferred technology methodology in partnership with various stakeholders, making sure they follow the appropriate objectives, structure and scope.

You’ll also drive the financial business case as set by the senior technology programme manager for the programme, with a clear line of sight to the customer value being delivered, in accordance with the technology investment portfolio and funding requirements.

You’ll also:

  • Prepare and take ownership for all project plans and controls and resource plans
  • Identify, track, manage and mitigate any project risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies
  • Interact with customers and key stakeholders across technology, business and beyond, leading the team to successful delivery
  • Track and report on project costs and make sure the project is completed within allotted budgets
  • Be relentlessly delivery focussed, with an on-time customer delivery mind-set, driving through blockers collaboratively with the teams to improve the digital experience we provide for our customers 
The skills you'll need

You’ll need an appropriate project management qualification and proven change management experience. We’ll also look to you to bring a good understanding of Agile values, principles and methodologies with experience of working within an Agile environment.

You’ll also need:

  • Experience of delivering digital strategic projects that support the business strategy and its growth agenda
  • Experience of successfully delivering programme and project management in a technology or IT function using Agile methodology and associated toolsets and methodologies as well as Waterfall methods where needed
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts and delivery status clearly to your peers and management level colleagues, in both informal and formal presentation settings
  • The capability to drill into technology challenges at some level of detail when needed in context of driving through blockers to customer delivery
  • The ability to inspire and lead project team towards a successful delivery
