The Role: The Sustainalytics Client Implementation team seeks an enthusiastic, results-driven, experienced and entrepreneurial leader, who is passionate about providing world class client onboarding experience globally. The team is responsible for being the client's single point of contact during the implementation engagement across all products, to ensure a smooth onboarding experience - from file deliveries to third party platforms access. In this role, you will pioneer and lead the client implementation function, roadmap, infrastructure, and processes within the group. You will interact with clients, sales, product, operations, and technology teams.
A successful Director of Client Implementation, Sustainalytics will be a self-starter, have strong leadership and people skills, a data-driven approach to continuous process improvement, and be able to initiate projects and ideas about improving our client onboarding experience.
Responsibilities:

  • Build out the client implementation function for Sustainalytics and design a roadmap for a world class client implementation experience.
  • Work cross-functionally with various Morningstar and Sustainalytics teams to improve Sustainalytics client implementation and product access.
  • Own and improve client implementation processes across different products.
  • Review client implementation metrics on a weekly basis, and mentor the team to improve the quality of our onboarding experience and solutions.
  • Initiate projects to improve processes, expand delivery solutions to build scale and quality into the client implementation experience.
  • Own day-to-day third-party platforms relationships, to facilitate access to Sustainalytics data on third party platforms.
  • Be an escalation point for any internal and external client implementation issues.
  • Understand the Sustainalytics business, client segments and how they use our product via various channels, anticipate their client service needs and pro-actively solve for them.
  • Provide business requirements for expanding suite of implementation solutions.
  • Participate in and contribute to global projects to advance the growth of the Sustainalytics business.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, ideally in a client-facing role within finance or ESG.
  • 3-5 years of experience in project or people management.
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Self-driven and ownership oriented.
  • Self-motivated and willing to take ownership of new responsibilities.
  • Personal Interest in Sustainability.
