Job Description

Role Overview

Impact

You will lead our Clinical Trial Divison Operations in the UK—including Clinical Packaging, Commercial Packaging, Supply Chain, and Operations Support—ensuring strong operational performance and supporting site growth. Your work will directly contribute to meeting customer needs and advancing our strategic objectives!

This is a multi-site role based from Horsham site.

Occasional travel required to Crawley & Bishops Stortford

Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold Good Manufacturing Practices and Principles across responsibility areas.
  • Represent Operations on the Site Leadership Team (SLT) and champion the company vision, mission and values.
  • Set and manage objectives that support site goals, customer expectations, and long-term business performance.
  • Review operational results, report insights, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Foster a service-focused, collaborative culture within Operations.
  • Effective Partnership with Client Services, Quality, Engineering, EHS, Planning, HR, and Site Leadership to implement plans and meet business targets.
  • Ensure effective sales and operations planning, allocating labour and resources to achieve delivery goals.
  • Build strong customer relationships and support new project implementation.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and SLT to strengthen and communicate the site value proposition.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead impactful teams, ensuring training and development needs are met.
  • Engage with leaders across the site, region, and division to achieve broader organizational goals.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and efficiently.
  • Support additional tasks as assigned by the General Manager.

Qualifications

  • Commercial Packaging experience essential in delivery of new line establishment and optimization
  • Experience leading multi-shift Manufacturing / Packing and Distributionn
  • BS/BA or equivalent experience in business, science, or engineering.
  • 10+ years in pharmaceutical clinical or commercial supply; 5+ years in business and people leadership.
  • Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Inclusive leadership style with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success motivating and developing teams.
  • Strong administrative and organizational abilities.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP , Quality systems and training requirements are met in line with business needs.
