The Regional Marketing team drives awareness and understanding of GitLab's benefits with integrated campaigns, including in-person and digital experiences. We are looking for a seasoned marketer and people-leader to drive the development of local field marketing efforts in AMER in close partnership with sales leadership. This work will include managing a high-performing team of field marketers, and planning and executing an AMER customer-facing event strategy that drives customer value and sources, generates, and progresses pipeline.

What You’ll Do  

  • Lead AMER regional marketing, building strong and productive relationships with our marketing and sales organization, and other GitLab colleagues
  • Be the voice of the field to the broader marketing team, including sales insights and inputs to directly impact marketing strategy and in turn be the primary representative of the broader marketing team to field sales
  • Scale field marketing activities and impact, while balancing the unique needs and characteristics of the AMER markets, including Canada and LATAM, while putting GitLab’s customers at the center of everything
  • Analyze and report on the impact and performance of regional marketing to a range of audiences, from local leadership to the executive level and tailor the insights accordingly
  • Play an active role as part of the Regional Marketing Leadership team; including aligning and connecting strategy to top of funnel of motions, collaborating with ABM to extend and amplify efforts and contribute to local success
  • Achieve high and consistent ROI from Marketing programs in AMER, through operational rigor, measurement, and budget and financial management
  • Continually experiment, test and iterate programs to define best practice and evolve program as the business grows

What You’ll Bring 

  • 10+ years progressive experience in the B2B tech industry with a focus on field marketing, working directly with sales teams
  • Team management and development skills, including career development and coaching; experience managing people managers
  • Track record of delivering results in line with overall business objectives through operational excellence, including accelerating and progressing pipeline
  • Data-driven, using data to measure results and inform decision making and strategy development
  • Able to coordinate across many teams and iterate and deliver in a fast-moving startup environment
  • Knowledge of the vertical space, including financial services, and the unique requirements needed to market to a targeted audience
  • You’re a creative thinker with fresh ideas on how to try new tactics and build things from the ground up
  • Understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies across the entire Software Development Lifecycle, especially in large enterprise environments
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Marketo, Tableau, Asana, Allocadia, GitLab, and Google Workspace
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, and the ability to distill down complex ideas in a variety of mediums (including content, decks, meetings) 
  • Proven experience being self-directed and working with minimal supervision
  • Experience managing marketing budgets and allocating resources across tactics
  • High EQ and an excellent relationship builder, with the ability to secure resources and get buy-in from stakeholders

The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of listed locations only. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. See more information on our benefits and equity. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of the offered base salary.

$155,800$292,200 USD
