As we continue to grow, we are excited to add a Strategic Sales & Analytics - Category Director to our global team. This role is based in Frankfurt and operates in a hybrid working model.
The Category Director provides strategic leadership and owns the overall performance of a product category within the country portfolio. This role is accountable for driving growth, profitability, and market share through strong commercial leadership, disciplined execution, and close collaboration with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Own the category strategy, growth agenda, and overall performance within the country
  • Define and communicate clear category objectives and KPIs
  • Partner closely with Sales and Marketing to develop and execute commercial and go-to-market plans
  • Lead weekly, monthly, and quarterly commercial reviews, driving short- and long-term actions
  • Develop strategic plans to expand into new markets and channels
  • Identify opportunities to increase distribution, shelf presence, and customer share
  • Act as the country voice for the category, ensuring teams remain aligned to market dynamics and risks
  • Lead portfolio management including pricing, SKU introductions, and discontinuations
  • Drive optimal assortment, merchandising, and promotional strategies
  • Own category financial performance, including forecasting, budgeting, and profitability management
  • Identify and deliver cost-efficiency and margin improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and R&D to deliver category objectives
What You'll Bring
  • 10+ years of experience in category management, commercial management, or a related operational role
  • Fluency in German and English
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate insight into action
  • Proven ability to lead, influence, and collaborate across functions and seniority levels
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • A proactive, results-driven mindset with strong problem-solving capability
  • Willingness to travel as required
