Infopulse, part of Tietoevry Create, is inviting a talented professional to join our growing team as a DWDM Network Implementation Engineer.

We are seeking a skilled DWDM Network Implementation Engineer with expertise in both project management and technical execution. The role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing DWDM networks to ensure top-tier performance and reliability. The ideal candidate will effectively manage complex network projects from inception to completion, working closely with cross-functional teams and external vendors.

The role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing DWDM networks to ensure top-tier performance and reliability. The ideal candidate will effectively manage complex network projects from inception to completion, working closely with cross-functional teams and external vendors.

• Lead DWDM network implementation projects, overseeing all phases of the network build

• Develop comprehensive project plans, defining timelines, milestones, and resource requirements

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network planners, field engineers, and vendors

• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies

• Ensure project completion within established scope, budget, and timeline

• Coordinate with engineering, planning, and colocation teams for site-related requirements (space, power, network management, DCN ports, and transport backbone capacity)

• Design and configure DWDM network solutions based on customer and business requirements

• Deploy, configure, and test DWDM systems, including hardware and software components

• Diagnose and troubleshoot DWDM network issues, ensuring rapid resolution

• Perform network performance optimization and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices

• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including network designs, test plans, and configuration guides

• Generate and present project status reports and updates to stakeholders

• Ensure all network changes adhere to established change management processes

• Act as the primary point of contact during network implementation

• Coordinate with vendors for procurement, service delivery, and troubleshooting

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field

• Proven track record in DWDM network design, implementation, and project delivery

• Hands-on experience with DWDM technologies and equipment from vendors like Ciena and Infinera

• Strong understanding of optical transmission principles and technologies

• Familiarity with network protocols and performance management tools

• Solid project management experience with large-scale network deployments

• Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent) is a plus

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
