Are you an experienced pensions, funding or risk professional looking to make a tangible impact? Wiltshire Pension Fund is seeking an Employer Funding and Risk Lead to help safeguard the long-term sustainability of one of the UK’s Local Government Pension Scheme funds. Supporting more than 170 participating employers, you will provide expert advice on funding, actuarial and pension risk matters, ensuring both employers and the Fund can navigate an increasingly complex financial and regulatory landscape.

The Wiltshire Pension Fund team oversees the governance, administration and future sustainability of a Fund managing just under over £4bn in assets with a healthy funding level. The wider team is responsible for ensuring pension benefits are paid accurately and on time, maintaining regulatory compliance, managing employer relationships, overseeing funding and investment strategies, and continually improving services for members and employers.

This is a highly visible and influential role, leading on employer admissions, reorganisations, mergers, cessations and TUPE-related pension matters. You will manage employer funding and covenant risks, monitor employer compliance and performance, support the triennial valuation process, and work closely with actuaries, senior stakeholders and employers to develop practical and effective solutions. You will also help shape funding and risk policies, lead complex discussions around affordability and employer solvency, and provide trusted advice that supports sound decision-making.

If you have strong analytical skills, excellent stakeholder management abilities and the confidence to influence senior leaders, this is a unique opportunity to help protect the retirement benefits of thousands of members while shaping the future of pension risk management. Join Wiltshire Pension Fund and make a lasting difference.
