You will help translate our strategy into an executable engineering roadmap,

This role is ideal for an engineering leader who combines strong software development
experience with effective people leadership and is excited about building teams and products in a
rapidly evolving AI environment.

What You Will Be Doing
• Lead and develop a team of software engineers.
• Own the team's execution across the software development lifecycle, from requirements
and technical design through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing production
support.
• Partner with Product, AI/ML, Data, and business stakeholders to translate product
strategy and customer needs into clear engineering priorities and deliverables.
• Work with technical leaders and engineers to establish sound architecture and
engineering approaches for scalable backend services, APIs and data processing.
• Drive predictable delivery by establishing clear priorities, managing dependencies,
identifying risks, and removing obstacles that impact team execution.
• Ensure solutions meet appropriate standards for quality, scalability, reliability,
performance, security, observability, and maintainability.
• Establish and reinforce strong software engineering practices, including code reviews,
automated testing, CI/CD, documentation, monitoring, and production readiness.
• Foster effective collaboration between software engineers, AI/ML engineers, data
engineers, product managers, and other technical teams.
• Ensure that our services are integrated effectively into
production products and customer experiences.
• Monitor team and system performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive
continuous improvement in engineering effectiveness and operational reliability.
• Establish clear goals and expectations for team members and provide regular coaching,
feedback, and performance management.
• Support the professional development and career growth of engineers through ongoing
coaching, development planning, and meaningful opportunities to expand their skills.
• Recruit, interview, onboard, and retain high-performing engineering talent.
• Build an inclusive, accountable team culture that encourages ownership, collaboration,
experimentation, and continuous learning.
• Help the team navigate ambiguity and rapidly evolving technologies while maintaining
disciplined engineering and delivery practices.
• Stay current with emerging developments in AI, analytics, data platforms, and software
engineering and help determine where new technologies can meaningfully improve
Intermedia's products or engineering practices.

What You Will Bring to the Role
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical
field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience, including experience
leading or managing software engineers.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams responsible for developing and
operating production software.
• Strong technical foundation in backend software development, APIs, distributed systems,
cloud architectures, and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience managing software development through the full lifecycle, including
planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and production operations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, dependencies, risks, and delivery across
complex technical initiatives.
• Experience setting goals, providing feedback, coaching engineers, and supporting
individual performance and career development.
• Experience recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding software engineering talent.
• Ability to partner effectively with Product Management and translate product and
business objectives into engineering plans.
• Strong understanding of software quality, testing, CI/CD, observability, reliability, and
operational excellence.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and modern cloud-based
application architectures.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to balance technical
quality, delivery speed, customer needs, and business priorities.
