Job Title: Global HR Business Partner – Director level

Location: Slough and Manchester

Travel: Up to 20% of your time will involve travel.

The role:

We are seeking a Global HR Business Partner (GHRBP) to support our Integrated Biologics (INB) functions and partner closely with senior members of the INB Leadership Team. In this strategic role, you will deploy the Lonza People Strategy by shaping, delivering, and advising on people and organizational initiatives that enable business growth, build organizational capability, and drive long‑term engagement and productivity across key functions like Sales, Commercial Development, Program Management and R&D.

You will design and implement people solutions aligned with Lonza’s global and Functional talent strategy, ensuring that our leadership culture, values, and ways of working are consistently embedded across the organization. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of the business strategies and roadmaps of the supported functions, combined with strong senior‑level HR advisory capabilities, influencing skills, and the ability to lead change in a complex, global environment.

As a senior member of the INB HR community, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening organizational effectiveness, enabling leadership teams to operate as high‑performing teams, and contributing meaningfully to the overall success of Integrated Biologics.

What you will do:

  • Develop and implement people strategies aligned with Lonza’s global HR plan, using data and metrics to drive measurable outcomes.

  • Provide strategic HR guidance and data‑driven insights to senior leaders, enabling informed decision‑making and supporting accelerated business growth.

  • Partner with leadership to shape and execute business strategy, ensuring organizational alignment and long‑term capability building.

  • Influence and collaborate with executives to drive key people initiatives, securing alignment across functions and platforms.

  • Foster high‑performing teams by strengthening collaboration, communication, and organizational effectiveness.

  • Champion workplace inclusion and equal opportunity, driving diversity initiatives across leadership levels.

  • Lead and execute core HR processes—including compensation cycles, talent reviews, and engagement activities—ensuring consistency and impact.

  • Collaborate with the business to design effective organizational structures and drive leadership and capability development across the global unit.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor and master degree, or equivalent education and experience

  • Significant HR leadership experience with a global exposure, operating as a senior HR Business Partner in complex, matrixed environments.

  • Strong strategic HR capability, including building and executing people strategies aligned to business goals, influencing senior leaders, and driving organizational effectiveness.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner with senior leadership teams across multiple global functions (e.g., Sales, R&D, Program Management).

  • Advanced capability in organizational development, talent management, and leadership development, including succession planning, capability building, and culture transformation.

  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, using HR metrics, dashboards, and data-driven insights to shape decisions and measure impact.

  • Excellent communication, coaching, and change leadership skills, with the ability to role-model OneLonza/OneHR behaviours and drive inclusion, innovation, and continuous improvement.
