Boeing's Global Trade Controls Function (GTC) has an exciting opportunity for a Global Trade Controls Leader based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates reporting to the GTC Executive Director.
This position is key to developing strong business partner relationships and providing tailored trade controls solutions to help enable business success in a timely and compliant manner.
The ideal candidate will have proven operational and leadership experience in trade controls, including a working knowledge of the Middle East regions Customs' regulations for importing and exporting products and technology.
They will also be able to work on their own initiative as part of a geographically dispersed team and to team effectively with business partners.

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelors degree) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience. Whilst advanced education is desirable, proven experience in understanding and applying trade controls is essential.

This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Position Responsibilities
- Lead efforts in the Middle East, Turkey & Africa regions to design and implement business focused forward leaning global trade solutions to enable Boeing businesses objectives.
- Strategic engagement with leadership to participate in business strategy development.
- Partner with businesses to translate strategy into actionable compliant plans.
- Design and deploy integrated export-import operation architecture to support execution efforts.
- Enhance and maintain trade compliance infrastructure - procedures, control plans, trainings - to mitigate risk, address emerging regulator environment and support evolving business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners for integrated and optimized solutions to complex and high stake business priorities.
- Relationship building and collaborating with subsidiaries and joint ventures to guide on global trade compliance matters and support execution.
- Active engagement with industry forums and Industry peer group towards advocacy and policy shaping. Work with regulators on specific trade control matters.
- Build capability and capacity - organizing, leading, mentoring, developing and motivating team members.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 10+ Years Global Trade Controls experience
- 5+ Years operational experience in the Middle East Region managing imports/exports and customs regulations
- Demonstrable working knowledge of the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and Sanctions Controls.
- Fluency in English (essential)
- High ethical standards and the ability to motivate others

- 3+ Years of experience in a managerial position
- Fluency in Arabic
