KBR’s Integrated Solutions International (ISI) team is seeking ambitious and talented Graduate Project Controls Engineers to join our elite engineering group of over 60 professionals.

As part of KBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions business, ISI delivers digitally enabled services across Design & EngineeringProject & Programme ManagementProcurement & Supply Chain Integration, and Consultancy. Our work spans the energy and industrial sectors, including Oil & GasChemicalPetrochemicalRefining, and Energy Transition.

What You’ll Be Working On:

You’ll contribute to projects in the field of

  • Plastics recycling
  • Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)
  • Ammonia and Hydrogen production
  • Refineries and oil/gas processing plants

Your Role and Development

Based at our Leatherhead, Surrey office, you’ll be part of a dynamic project controls team, working on projects at various stages—from concept development to detailed design, construction, and commissioning.

Key aspects of the scheme include:

  • Planning and Scheduling, Cost Management and Estimating across multiple project phases
  • Structured rotations to broaden your technical and professional skills
  • Opportunities for international placements in locations such as Baku and Chennai

You’ll be joining a diverse team that includes apprentices, graduates, principal Project Controls persons—offering a collaborative environment for learning and growth.

What does the scheme involve?  

At KBR we love to teach and support new professionals. You will be given the latest training and tools needed to further your skills and become a key member of our thriving team. The graduate programme is IET accredited, and our established mentor system will help support and advise you on your journey towards chartership.  

The 2-year scheme would give you experience of a myriad of projects as you would rotate across clients.  You could be offered opportunities to work across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the Americas. You would be joining a large graduate global family with automatic enrollment in the vibrant KBR IMPACT network, which promotes new professionals and organises social activities across all our locations

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for proactive and motivated graduates who:

  • Have achieved a 2:2 engineering or finance degree, a Masters Degree is preferred.
  • Are passionate about their discipline and its application in the evolving energy industry.
  • Possess an inquisitive nature and are eager to help solve our clients' problems.
  • Enjoy being part of a team and helping others.
  • Use their initiative and are confident working independently.
  • Are enthusiastic learners, keen to develop their skills and knowledge.

Our Selection Process

Our Graduate selection journey begins with an in-depth review of candidate applications, followed by shortlisting through phone screening, and concluding with in an in-person Assessment Day at our Leatherhead offices.

During our Assessment Days, you will participate in a fun group activity with other candidates, deliver your own pre-prepared presentation and one-on-one interviews.

Meeting you in person allows us to get to know you better and helps you to discover why KBR is a great place to work!

The planned timings for our Assessment Days are in February 2026.
