Growth Marketing Manager London, UK

Do you want to work on the most pressing problem of our generation? Do you have experience as a founder or entrepreneur with a proven track record for enterprise SaaS sales? If so, we’d like to hear from you. We’re looking for the best SaaS salespeople in the world to join an ambitious and scrappy series A startup. At CarbonChain we see the climate challenge as a transformative opportunity for the global economy, and a rewarding career opportunity for those willing to take on the challenge of a rapidly evolving market.

Decarbonizing the economy requires a granular, real-time view of where emissions come from and how they might be reduced. We’ve built software to automate the carbon footprinting of supply chains. Banks, traders, and manufacturers use our product to tame the complexity of international supply networks, identify the most carbon-intensive parts, and find lower-carbon alternatives. Having developed technology which is significantly ahead of competitive solutions, we are now investing heavily in market adoption.

You’ll take responsibility for all aspects of developing and executing CarbonChain’s demand generation strategy. You’ll use a fast-moving, data-driven, experimental approach to reach target audiences through a variety of means (from ads to SEO to PR), and work closely with Sales, Product, Customer Success and Content to ultimately win new customers.

You’ll have a proven track record of driving growth in a B2B enterprise SaaS environment. You love to roll up your sleeves with strong ownership, experimenting with new strategies, discarding failures and doubling down on what works.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive net new leads for CarbonChain, with a focus on top and middle of funnel demand gen campaigns and conversion-rate-optimisation on our website
  • Conduct market research, audience segmentation and account-based marketing
  • Build and execute a demand generation marketing strategy that wins customers and supports CarbonChain’s ambitious growth plans with the founding team
  • Analyze and improve CarbonChain’s current acquisition and retention campaigns, working across paid ads, SEO, social media marketing, email marketing, PR
  • Ensure the website is optimized and developed for growth, and that inbound flows increase with market signals of growing demand
  • Write tailor made content for outbound sequences relevant to CarbonChain and the product offering, without reliance on ready made templates
  • Run 2 to 5 data-driven experiments every two weeks to test and scale up what wins customers, conversions and referrals, and scrap what doesn’t, even if it means rolling up your sleeves to write content
  • Partner with BDRs to align on outbound marketing campaigns and deliver experiments to weekly timelines.
  • A track record of hitting aggressive pipeline targets; you’re analytical and results-driven in your approach
  • Work closely with Product, Sales, Customer Success, SEO and Content to identify, test and improve how we use UX, content marketing and product messaging to convert prospects into happy customers
  • Regularly report on the results of your experiments to leadership and the broader team, using tools like GA, Google Tag Manager, HubSpot, Salesforce, and Looker
  • You will develop a product marketing calendar, and will architect short and long term go-to-market moments, connecting key narratives to product milestones.

Requirements:

  • A right to work in the UK (please note this is a hard requirement)
  • 5 to 7 years experience, or a track record of owning high impact projects through stages of business growth
  • Ideally 2 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, and/or operations / strategy at a fast-growing startup
  • Previous biz ops, strategy, growth, or growth marketing role for a high growth Enterprise B2B or top-tier technology company
  • Happy to work from our Camden, London office with our team
  • Demonstrated experience influencing growth with data-driven activities
  • Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics Suite, Excel is a must). More importantly, you know how to ask the right questions and answer them conclusively.
  • Ability to work with diverse teams and move quickly in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment
  • An ownership mentality. We are looking for someone who can deliver impact despite having ample excuses not to. Sometimes this will mean doing work that is not in your job description
  • Deep customer empathy. You should be able to use first–principles thinking to suss out what our customers (finance teams & executives) will be excited by
  • Proficiency with SQL is a nice to have
  • Proficiency with Salesforce is a nice to have
