Job Description

🚀 The Job Mission

As a Hazards Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and integrity of nuclear facilities by producing and updating Hazard Verification Studies. Your key responsibilities will include:

⚡️ Producing updates to Hazard Verification Studies using relevant technical methodologies for Internal and External Hazards for buildings
⚡️ Developing simplified design calculation hypotheses and defining possible scenarios for each threat situation
⚡️ Identifying equipment under threat and assessing how it would be affected
⚡️ Producing studies on functional redundancies impacted by hazards
⚡️ Managing technical topics related to the protection requirements for hazards within the building and system design
⚡️ Supporting matrix organisation during the design and construction phase by providing technical expertise on safety functional requirements
⚡️ Participating in discipline meetings on hazards, nuclear safety, radiation protection, and the environment

Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications

🛠 Degree in Engineering, preferably specializing in safety
🛠 Knowledge of safety requirement implementation and hazard studies, preferably in a highly regulated industry
🛠 Experience with Nuclear Safety Assessment Principles and their application
🛠 Experience in systems, layout engineering, and pipework
🛠 Familiarity with PDMS and Navisworks software
🛠 Fluent in English; French is advantageous
🛠 Conscientious, enthusiastic, with strong interpersonal skills
🛠 Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
