Role Purpose

The Head of Marketing UK role reports to the Chief Corporate Affairs and Marketing Officer, and sits on the corporate affairs and marketing (CAM) leadership team as well as the UK Business Unit leadership team.  They are responsible for driving brand awareness, acquisition and retention activities for clients in the wealth management and sourcing industries.

The role requires exceptional relationship building skills, an in-depth understanding of financial services and technology, strong digital marketing experience and experience leading a high performing B2B marketing team with a focus on results.

You will be working closely with key stakeholders in sales and account management, product and technology to define and deliver Iress’ offerings in the UK.

Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on...

  • Leading a team of marketers focused on growth and retention activities

  • Instilling a culture of high performance centred around supporting Iress’ revenue growth objectives

  • Leading marketing strategy development and execution for the region

  • Proactively harnessing data analytics to evaluate and optimise ROI of marketing activities

  • Planning, managing and monitoring the marketing budget

  • Building strong, influential relationships with senior leaders from across the business

  • Continually driving new ideas and concepts into all our marketing activities.

  • Contributing to Iress’ global marketing leadership team including collaborating on the delivery of cross-regional goals.

To be successful in this role… 

  • Extensive knowledge and experience working in the UK’s financial services industry

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a corporate environment and B2B marketing

  • Demonstrable experience in working successfully with a variety of stakeholders to shape and deliver an offer to market

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • Highly effective relationship management skills and experience at all levels, including C-Suite

  • The ability to achieve results, deliver multiple projects under pressure and continually strive for excellence

  • The ability to think creatively about projects and tasks presented   

  • Strong people leadership skills

  • Ability to work in an ever-changing, fast paced environment, able to multi-task, prioritise and work efficiently under pressure with careful attention to detail
