Since our founding in 2009, Ticketer has grown to become the UK's leading provider of real-time information, data analytics and ticketing solutions for the bus and coach industry. Today, we work with some of the UK's largest transport operators, including Arriva, Go-Ahead Group and National Express, as well as the majority of local authorities and commercial bus and coach operators across the country.

If you've travelled by bus outside London, there's a good chance Ticketer was powering your journey—from the ticket machine onboard to the software and data services working behind the scenes to keep services running smoothly.

As we continue our growth journey, we're looking for an ambitious and commercially focused Head of Marketing to lead our marketing function and play a key role in driving business growth, brand awareness and customer engagement.

The Opportunity

This is a strategic leadership role with a strong hands-on element. You'll be responsible for developing and executing a high-impact marketing strategy that generates pipeline, strengthens our market-leading position and supports our ambitious growth plans.

We're looking for someone who enjoys both setting direction and delivering results—someone who can combine strategic thinking with practical execution, leveraging data, insight and creativity to build a scalable marketing engine.

You'll work closely with teams across Product, Operations, Customer Success and Commercial functions to ensure marketing supports every stage of the customer journey, from acquisition through to retention and growth.

What You'll Be Doing

Marketing Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and own the annual marketing strategy, objectives and KPIs, aligned to business goals and growth targets.
  • Lead, develop and scale a high-performing marketing function.
  • Establish effective planning, reporting and campaign management processes to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across the business to ensure marketing supports product development, customer engagement and commercial success.

Demand Generation & Growth

  • Build a predictable, scalable demand generation engine that delivers qualified sales pipeline.
  • Develop and execute integrated multi-channel campaigns across digital, content, events and account-based marketing.
  • Identify new opportunities to improve lead generation, conversion and customer acquisition.

Brand & Market Positioning

  • Act as the guardian of the Ticketer brand, ensuring consistency across all channels and customer touchpoints.
  • Strengthen brand visibility and market presence within the SaaS, mobility and transport technology sectors.
  • Lead the development of compelling content, including thought leadership, customer success stories, case studies and product collateral.

Campaign & Product Marketing

  • Deliver integrated marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, customer engagement and revenue growth.
  • Own marketing activity across website content, SEO, email marketing, social media, PR, webinars, events, advertising and sales enablement materials.
  • Support product launches and go-to-market initiatives through strong messaging, positioning and competitive insight.

Customer & Market Insight

  • Develop a deep understanding of customers, market trends and competitor activity.
  • Use data and insights to influence commercial strategy, product development and value proposition refinement.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership teams.

Budget & Performance

  • Manage the marketing budget, ensuring investment is focused on activities that maximise ROI.
  • Track, analyse and report on marketing performance and campaign effectiveness.
  • Present clear, data-driven insights and recommendations to the executive team.

What Success Looks Like

  • Increased brand awareness and market visibility.
  • Strong growth in qualified pipeline and marketing-attributed revenue.
  • Effective support of customer retention, product adoption and upsell initiatives.
  • Delivery of high-quality campaigns on time and against agreed objectives.
  • Robust performance reporting and measurable return on marketing investment.

About You

Essential

  • Proven success in a senior marketing leadership role within a B2B SaaS or technology business.
  • Strong track record of delivering demand generation, pipeline growth and digital marketing success.
  • Experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies and product marketing frameworks.
  • Commercial understanding of subscription-based business models, ARR growth and customer lifecycle metrics.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience leading, coaching and developing marketing teams.
  • Highly organised, analytical and results-oriented.
  • Comfortable operating at both strategic and hands-on levels within a fast-paced, growing business.

Desirable

  • Experience within transport technology, mobility, software or public transport sectors.
  • Experience working within a private equity-backed organisation.
  • International marketing experience.

Why Join Ticketer?

This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact in a market-leading technology business that plays an important role in improving public transport across the UK. You'll join a collaborative and ambitious team, have the freedom to shape the marketing agenda, and contribute directly to the next stage of our growth journey.

If you're a strategic marketing leader who enjoys delivering measurable results and building high-performing teams, we'd love to hear from you.
