The role

Wayve is looking for its first Head of Marketing to define and lead the global marketing strategy for our AI Driver technology. This person will turn our company and commercial objectives into a clear market position, compelling product narratives and integrated programs that build trust in our technology and support adoption by automotive, technology and mobility partners.

Reporting to the VP of Marketing Communications, the Head of Marketing will lead product marketing, brand strategy, partner co-marketing, digital marketing, the website, content, events and conferences. They will manage an initial team of approximately four spanning product marketing, digital, marketing operations, design and web, and work closely with the Head of Communications and leaders across Product, Commercial, Policy and Partnerships.

Key responsibilities:

  • Define Wayve’s marketing strategy across AI Driver, Robotaxi, automotive/OEM and safety audiences, connecting business priorities to clear audiences, positioning, programs and measurable outcomes.
  • Own product positioning and messaging, translating complex AI and autonomous-driving technology into differentiated, technically credible and commercially relevant narratives.
  • Build trust in Wayve’s technology through evidence-led content, demonstrations, customer stories and integrated campaigns.
  • Establish Wayve’s brand strategy and ensure it is applied consistently across campaigns, digital channels, experiences and partnerships.
  • Lead partner co-marketing with automakers, mobility platforms and technology partners, creating shared narratives, launch plans and campaigns that advance both parties’ objectives without losing Wayve’s positioning.
  • Own the digital marketing strategy, website and content engine, using data to improve reach, engagement and conversion.
  • Set the strategy for conferences and experiential marketing, ensuring investment supports clear company and commercial objectives.
  • Build integrated marketing plans with Communications while maintaining clear ownership: Marketing leads product, brand, digital, content, events and partner marketing; Communications leads corporate narrative, media relations, crisis communications and reputation management.
  • Lead, coach and develop the marketing team, establishing clear priorities, ownership and decision rights while remaining accountable for delivery quality.
  • Create transparent operating plans, budgets, KPIs and reporting that give leadership clear visibility into progress, risks and results.
  • Work across Product, Commercial, Partnerships, Policy, Communications and regional teams to secure alignment and deliver cohesive programs.
  • Remain hands-on, personally shaping positioning, challenging briefs and improving strategy in a fast-moving environment.
About you

In order to set you up for success as a Head of Marketing at Wayve, we’re looking for the following skills and experience.

Essential

  • Senior marketing leadership experience in a complex, trust-sensitive category such as autonomous technology, enterprise technology, AI, platform businesses or fintech.
  • Strong product-marketing and narrative-strategy capability, with evidence of translating highly technical products for commercial partners and consumers.
  • Demonstrated experience building a category and brand across integrated channels, ideally while operating with constrained budgets.
  • A record of successful partner co-marketing with major global organizations while protecting a clear standalone brand position.
  • Strong digital, website, content and integrated-campaign capability, supported by meaningful measurement.
  • A commercially minded approach that connects customer needs, routes to market and partnerships to adoption and business growth.
  • Hands-on scale-up leadership: able to set strategy, manage senior stakeholders, coach a small team and drive execution through ambiguity.
  • Sound judgment, strong executive communication and the ability to make clear decisions and constructive recommendations.
  • A collaborative, low-ego leadership style and the ability to work effectively alongside Communications and across senior technical and commercial stakeholders.

Desirable

  • Experience in autonomous vehicles, mobility, automotive technology or another platform or ingredient-brand business.
  • Experience building a challenger brand against larger, better-funded competitors.
  • Experience marketing across B2B, partner and consumer audiences internationally.
  • Experience developing marketing organizations, operating models and teams during rapid growth.
