The role of Hospitality Assistant sits within our Client Suite/Business Services team. As a whole, the team ensures the smooth day to day running of hospitality and business services to our clients and internal stakeholders is of the highest standard at all times.
As our Hospitality Assistant your role will be interesting, busy, and varied. Your key responsibilities will be food and beverage service, and ensuring all stocks are replenished and ready for our internal events and meetings. You will also assist with the general upkeep and cleanliness of the food and beverage store, and staff kitchen, in line with our departmental policies. Our Hospitality provision includes tea and coffee service, sandwich and buffet lunches for business meetings, and evening receptions for up to 100. You will be joining a small but highly collaborative and friendly team within the Client Suite and Business Services areas, that provides integral support functions within the firm. What you'll do:
- Provide excellent levels of proactive customer care and service
- Supporting events
- Basic prep and serving of food and beverages
- Meet and greet internal/external clients and stakeholders when required
- Clearing and cleaning of meeting rooms as well as the prep kitchen and staff kitchen
- Placing catering and consumables orders
- Re-stocking consumables in the kitchens
- Ensuring that COSHH, Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations are adhered to, and any incidents are reported in line with procedures
- Ensuring all complaints are dealt with professionally and in line with procedures
- Traveling to other offices on occasion to covering absences. This will normally be planned holiday cover however on occasion you will be required to cover other short-term absences
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience within catering or hospitality
- Food hygiene certificate level 2 (desirable)
- Excellent communication skills along and professional in presentation
- The ability to deal with a variety of tasks whilst working flexibly in a friendly team
- The ability to work 36.25 hours per work (alternate shifts starting at 08:00 and 09:00)
- Available for a 6 month fixed term
- The ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
