Job Title: HR Business Partner Engineering & Product

Location: Šenčur, Slovenia, Reading (United Kingdom) or Austria

Summary:

This role will be integral in aligning HR initiatives with business goals, driving talent strategies to support Global Engineering and Product functional objectives, and ensuring best-in-class HR practices within the EMEA region. The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will act as a trusted advisor to engineering and product and regional leaders, providing guidance on workforce planning, talent development, performance management, and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Partnership

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the Engineering & Product leadership team, aligning HR programs and initiatives with business goals to support revenue growth and organizational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with engineering & Product leaders to develop and implement people strategies that drive performance, engagement, and retention.

Talent and Organizational Management and Development

  • Lead organization readiness reviews with the engineering and product team, including identifying high-potential employees, succession planning, and career pathing and future skills requirements.
  • Partner with leaders to create and execute talent development plans that improve engineering and product team capabilities, including training programs, skill development, and leadership training.
  • Collaborate with functional area leaders and the recruiting team to develop and execute workforce planning strategies that meet business objectives.
  • Assist with the recruitment of key roles, including participating in interviews as requested and assessing candidates for cultural fit and long-term potential.
  • Conduct regular assessments of talent needs within Engineering & Product to ensure a robust talent pipeline and strong succession planning.
  • Support onboarding initiatives to ensure a seamless transition for new hires, aligning onboarding practices with team dynamics and regional requirements, working closely with HR shared services.

Performance Management and Coaching

  • Support the adoption of the performance management process, including setting objectives, coaching managers in facilitating coaching conversations, performance reviews and tracking utilization of 1x1 and Performance Enablement Plan (PEPs).
  • Lead performance calibration session with Executives and next level leaders in department.
  • Advise managers on providing constructive feedback, handling performance issues, and building high-performing teams within Engineering & Product.
  • Lead initiatives to foster a culture of continuous feedback, accountability, and recognition across the Engineering & Product organization.

HR Analytics and Reporting

  • Utilize HR metrics and data to provide insights to the engineering and product teams, helping to drive data-driven decisions related to hiring, performance, retention, and engagement.
  • Prepare regular reports on key HR metrics, such as turnover, engagement, and workforce diversity, to monitor progress and support planning.

Employee Engagement and Culture

  • Collaborate with leaders to review pulse surveys, feedback sessions, and other engagement activities to assess employee sentiment and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support leaders to develop and implement engagement initiatives tailored to the needs of the team, creating a culture of collaboration, motivation, and productivity.
  • Partner with the Engineering & Product leadership (with the Local Loftie Club, LLC) to design programs that enhance employee experience and build a strong, positive organizational culture.
  • Facilitate resolution of Employee Relations matters escalated by the HR shared service people partners for ER matters in Engineering & Product

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)

  • Champion DEI efforts within Engineering & Product, ensuring an inclusive environment where employees feel valued and supported.
  • Work with the global People team to design and implement programs and initiatives that drive diversity within the team and promote an inclusive workplace.
  • Provide guidance to leaders on fostering diverse teams and promoting inclusive behaviors.

Compensation, Benefits, and Rewards

  • Partner with HR shared services to provide guidance on compensation benchmarking and incentive plans
  • Work with engineering and product leadership to design and implement recognition programs that celebrate achievements and reinforce performance culture.

Compliance and Policy Management

  • In collaboration with HR Shared Services ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, advising on HR policies and procedures to mitigate risks and maintain legal standards.
  • Collaborate with HR Shared services and compliance to conduct regular HR training sessions on compliance topics, such as anti-harassment, diversity, and data privacy.

Change Management and Communication

  • Support change management initiatives, particularly around organizational restructuring, new engineering and product programs, and system implementations, helping leaders to communicate effectively and ensure smooth transitions.
  • Communicate effectively with Engineering & Product groups to ensure alignment on HR initiatives, updates to policies, and company-wide changes.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including experience partnering with Engineering and/or Product organizations in a SaaS or technology environment
  • Proven ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, aligning people strategies with business goals
  • Strong experience in workforce planning, organizational design, succession planning, and talent development
  • Hands-on experience supporting performance management processes, coaching managers, and leading calibration discussions
  • Experience using HR data and metrics to drive insights and inform decisions around engagement, retention, and growth
  • Confident handling complex employee relations matters with sound judgment and discretion
  • Experience supporting organizational change and communicating effectively in global, matrixed environments
  • A proven track record of partnering with the business to drive growth through a human lens. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field.
