PeopleCert is seeking a talented and imaginative HTML CSS Developer to become a key part of our forward-thinking team. The ideal candidate will have a solid command of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with experience in translating design concepts into flawless, pixel-perfect web pages. In this role, you will ensure an exceptional user experience by implementing smooth animations, dynamic transitions, and cutting-edge design principles with meticulous attention to detail.

As a HTML CSS Developer, your tasks will include the following:

  • Develop web pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Convert Figma designs into pixel-perfect HTML/CSS, ensuring accurate implementation of design specifications.
  • Collaborate with designers to translate Figma mockups into responsive and interactive web pages.
  • Implement smooth animations and transition effects to enhance user interaction and engagement.
  • Ensure responsive design across all devices, providing a seamless user experience.
  • Collaborate with CMS engineers to incorporate HTML/CSS into the CMS platform.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Implement SEO best practices to ensure high search engine rankings.
  • Troubleshoot and debug web-related issues, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
  • Stay current with the latest front-end development trends and best practices.


What we look for:

  • Proven experience as a Front End Web Developer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with a demonstrated ability to create pixel-perfect HTML/CSS from designs.
  • Experience with Figma for design collaboration and implementation, and basic understanding of SEO principles.
  • Strong understanding of responsive design principles, performance optimization techniques and version control systems.
  • Experience with animations and transition effects for enhanced interactivity.
  • Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG).
  • Familiarity with CSS pre-processors like SASS or LESS.
  • Excellent command of the English language (C2 level certification desired, or certificate would be a plus)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation & communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism and ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Well organized, team motivator, self-driven, flexible and able to work in a high-volume, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment.

Bonus point if you have the following as well:

  • Experience with other JavaScript frameworks and libraries (e.g., Angular, Vue, React, ).
  • Knowledge or understanding of content management systems, including Sitecore, SharePoint, and headless CMS.

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)

Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check (the results of which must be acceptable to PeopleCert and the HO) prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.

If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:

  • A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
  • Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality, identity and place of residence)
  • HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
  • Financial background check
  • Employment reference check.
  • If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK.

In addition, if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and, where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), the official language of the relevant country.
