Join us at Gorilla and be part of a mission to transform the energy industry. At Gorilla, you'll play a vital role in delivering cutting-edge data solutions for a lower-carbon future. We focus on providing efficient, reliable, and flexible SaaS solutions for data processing and analysis in the energy sector. Together, we're driving digital transformation, maximizing ROI for clients, and contributing to achieving net-zero emissions through technology and data-driven insights.

Your role

As an Implementation Consultant, you are the primary technical point of contact for the customer and project stakeholders, ensuring seamless delivery of our innovative solutions from inception to go-live.

In partnership with the project manager, energy consultants, and the data engineering team, you elevate the delivery of IT projects, providing technical support and training during design phases and translating functional requirements into technical specifications.

In your role, you lead customers in improving their business processes and architecture to be future-proof with a focus on flexibility, automation, and scalability.

You actively contribute ideas for process improvements, propelling Gorilla's professional services forward and striving to keep improving the efficient delivery of implementation projects.

Your responsibilities
  • You are responsible for writing technical specifications for data intensive algorithms in our energy applications suite that are to be implemented by our data engineers.

  • Create technical documentation and diagrams. You advise on the integration game plan, maintaining the architecture coherently throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Give high-quality technical demos to prospective clients and partners.

  • Translate technical project details into understandable language for both technical and non-technical participants. Challenge energy clients and engineers on requirements, integration architecture, scalability, and risks, ensuring all assumptions are scrutinised and all possibilities explored.

  • Analyse and comprehend the energy client’s business, infrastructure, and tech stack to define integration blueprints, actively participating in workshops with different stakeholders.

  • Work closely with our Energy Consultants for end-to-end process mapping, providing additional support during design phases and briefing formula designs to engineers.

  • Acquire knowledge on technical integrations & API, data processing design principles/best practices, and Gorilla’s Out Of The Box (OOTB) solutions.

  • Collaborate closely with colleagues, fostering a spirit of co-creation and teamwork.

Office Mix

This is a Hybrid role based in London. This means you would chat with your leader and team to define the number of days you need to be together to collaborate and achieve outcomes in close proximity. This is often 1 to 2 days a week. On the other days, you have flexibility.

Requirements
  • You bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills and enjoy working with complex technical or data challenges. We welcome candidates who are early in their careers as well as those with some professional experience. If you are motivated to learn and grow, we encourage you to apply even if you do not meet every single requirement.

  • Your background might look like one of the following:

    • You hold a Master’s degree in a technical field (computer science, engineering, exact sciences, or similar). Recent graduates are encouraged to apply, and experience gained through projects, coursework, or internships is fully valued.

    • You have a Bachelor’s degree in a related area and some hands-on experience working on IT projects or digital products (around two years).

Depending on your path, you may bring experience with some of the following (not all required):

  • Designing or contributing to data-intensive applications; experience with Python or Pandas is a plus.

  • Working with system integrations such as REST APIs, JSON, XML, SOAP, SFTP or FTPS, along with familiarity with at least one major cloud provider, preferably AWS.

  • Creating architecture diagrams, process maps and sequence diagrams, and using modelling approaches such as UML or BPMN.

  • Moving comfortably between technical work and client interactions, and switching between detail and the broader picture.

  • Exposure to the Energy and Utilities sector, which is an advantage but not required.

  • Fluent in English, spoken and written, and open to travelling once a month.

What's in it for you
  • Flexible work options - whether you choose Office Mix or Remote First Mix (currently available within certain timezones and locations). We offer country-specific mobility benefits and the ability to work flexible hours. You will be equipped with the best technology for remote work.

  • A job with a purpose At Gorilla, we’re not just watching the world change—we’re making it happen! We provide cutting-edge data services to energy retailers, helping them tackle climate change while keeping the lights on; we’re here to make a big impact and have some fun along the way.

  • Remuneration Approach, which is clear and no-nonsense based on your experience and location.

  • Core Benefits - Wherever your location, you can expect a generous PTO allowance and health insurance coverage.

  • Career Growth opportunities As Gorilla is growing at an incredible pace, you can leave your mark – growing alongside Gorilla. Lifelong learning is part of our DNA, and we care about your individual dreams and ambitions, beyond just work.

  • International Travel We host Gorilla Company-wide Gatherings, where we all get a chance to see each other in person. Past locations have included Portugal, Amsterdam, and Spain.
