We're looking for a motivated and ambitious Account Manager to help grow our presence in the municipal wastewater sector. This is a full-time, permanent, field-based role, ideally suited to someone based in the South of England who enjoys building strong customer relationships, solving technical challenges, and driving business growth.

As the face of Solenis across your region, you'll play a key role in helping wastewater customers achieve their operational and sustainability goals while developing new business opportunities and strengthening long-term partnerships.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Driving growth – Develop and execute sales strategies that deliver against targets and expand our market presence.
  • Building partnerships – Create trusted, long-term relationships with customers by understanding their challenges and business objectives.
  • Collaborating internally – Work closely with Corporate Accounts, Marketing, Pricing, and Applications teams to deliver tailored customer solutions.
  • Managing your pipeline – Maintain a focused and proactive approach to opportunity management, ensuring sustainable revenue growth.
  • Growing accounts – Retain and develop existing business while identifying and securing new opportunities.
  • Providing technical support – Help municipal wastewater customers understand our products, applications, and best practices.
  • Being a trusted advisor – Support customers with troubleshooting, performance optimisation, and application expertise.
What We're Looking For
  • Account management experience, backed by a degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset — you're proactive, self-driven, and always spotting new opportunities.
  • Water treatment knowledge (highly desirable).
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach.
  • A willingness to travel extensively across the South, South East, and South Coast. This is a field-based role, and you'll enjoy spending time with customers across the region. To support customer relationships and maximise opportunities, flexibility for overnight stays away from home is essential. On average, the role involves approximately six overnight stays per month, providing valuable exposure to a diverse customer base and the opportunity to build strong, long-term partnerships.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively managing a varied regional territory.
  • A valid UK driver's license.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary package.
  • Annual bonus scheme.
  • Company car.
  • Private healthcare.
  • Enhanced company pension scheme.
  • Life assurance.
  • Employee assistance program.
