Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Software Engineer III is responsible for delivering solutions for a shared services platform. This team accounts for both the developer centric piece as well as the platform and associated products that support the upcycling of incoming clinical data. This Engineer will focus on optimizations of the platform, build pipelines, and platform infrastructure. The nature of the development work will be 95%+ backend focused with minimal frontend development responsibilities.

Location: Remote, US

Role qualifications:

  • 5+ years of progressive work experience developing software products
  • Kotlin 1.9x (JDK 17) experience
  • Terraform (1.x) experience
  • AWS experience
  • Experience with automated unit testing and acceptance testing frameworks
  • Working experience with source code version control (preferably Git)
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Proven commitment to working in a senior engineer role, including mentoring and design guidance
  • Temporal.io experience (or other workflow engines)
  • Experience with Docker
  • Experience with Kubernetes (EKS)

  • Designing and developing scalable system that follow best practices
  • Writing maintainable code that is easy to understand
  • Supporting our platform in production
  • Reviewing code written by other team members
  • Collaborating with and mentoring team members
  • Create standards for and documenting the systems you help build
  • Participating in daily stand ups
  • Working in 2-week sprint cycles
