About the job

Shape the Linux platforms that keep Graphcore’s engineering organisation moving at scale.

As Linux Engineering Lead, you will lead the systems that underpin our engineering environments in Bristol. This is a hands-on technical leadership role across automation, reliability and operational excellence.

You will own the stability, performance and scalability of Linux infrastructure used across Graphcore’s engineering organisation. Your work will help engineers move faster, recover quickly and build on consistent foundations.

You will lead incident response, improve operations and set standards for how Linux systems are managed. You will also mentor a small team while staying close to troubleshooting, support and automation.

This role offers real influence over the future direction of Linux platform engineering at Graphcore.

The team and culture

You will work closely with engineering groups, platform engineers and infrastructure specialists. Work happens through shared technical judgement, clear ownership and practical decisions made near the systems.

You will be trusted to act fast during incidents, think big about platform direction and take responsibility for operational quality. The role needs someone who can speak up, set standards and bring people with them.

As the team grows, you will build capability through mentoring, better tooling and scalable processes. Your leadership will be grounded in hands-on technical credibility.
