  • Inquisitive
  • Open to challenge and be challenged
  • Taking initiative
  • Accountable

You have experience with various types of software and infrastructure and are passionate about helping to improve the quality of products you work on, through questions, curiosity and exploration. Our projects and clients are diverse, so what we really look for are people driven to develop and expand their skillset and knowledge.

What you’ll be doing...

Influencing and driving quality engineering best practices within a newly formed Cloud Platform team as part of one of our client delivery projects.

Working collaboratively as part of a small team of Lead Quality Engineers to craft and deliver a QE strategy, shifting quality engineering left through DevSecOps processes.

Proactively contribute and lead client and team delivery ceremonies and practices, such as daily stand-ups, planning, refinement and reviews.

Positively contribute to 2i strategic initiatives to accelerate internal growth and improve client delivery.

Your Responsibilities…

  • Proactively collaborating with client stakeholders, understanding their needs and translating these into quality engineering strategies whilst leading team members to develop a shared understanding of what good looks like and advocate for quality from the outset.
  • Have a detailed understanding of the role of test automation with a DevOps approach to shift quality engineering left through DevSecOps processes.
  • Drive the overall directly of quality engineers within a Cloud Platform team, proactively contributing to decisions on tooling and technology and lead the implementation of tooling and test code to support your tests.
  • Collaborate with wider test engineering team to ensure processes, tooling and approaches are consistent, as well as engineering and architecture teams ensuring QE is embedded by default in engineering and architecture approaches.
  • Build trust with client stakeholders and be able to clearly and concisely communicate test ideas, systems quality risks and translate evidence in a way that is meaningful and relatable to them.
  • Mentor, coach and teach more junior team members, providing support to implement strategic approaches, perform test activities and develop their skills.
  • Develop a culture within your client and internal teams to challenge the status quo and continuously improve quality engineering practices and processes, with appropriate tracking and monitoring of value driven success measures.

Technical Skillset Required:

  • Implemented and executed QAT strategies for large scale projects.
  • Lead a quality engineering team within an AWS focused, cloud platform setting.
  • Partnered with DevOps Engineers to implement all levels of the modern test pyramid that maps to modern CI/CD pipelines.
  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code from a quality engineering perspective, with a focus on ensuring infrastructure is testable, maintainable, secure, and compliant.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with containers and containerisation best practices, with an emphasis on quality engineering principles such as testability, reliability, and observability.
  • Deep expertise in container orchestration systems, particularly Kubernetes including designing, deploying, and validating complex workloads in distributed environments.
  • Written and reviewed high quality test code that is repeatable, predictable and encompasses best practices of DevSecOps.

Desired Experience:

  • Commercial experience working with AI, especially AI for QAT activities.
  • Experience of working in Data Science and Data Analytics.

Curious? We want to hear from you!

We don’t believe in the “perfect” hire. What we do believe in is the benefits of creating a team built of different perspectives, backgrounds, career paths and ways of working. What we value most are team players who are eager to take their growth into their own hands and utilise the people around them.
