ABOUT THE JOB

Gunzilla Games are looking to recruit a Lead Render programmer to join us to work on our game OTG (Off The Grid), an all-new AAA Extraction Battle Royale shooter, available as Early Access on PlayStation®5, Xbox® Series X|S and PC now.

As our lead, you will lead our rendering team and ensure high coding standards and guide the career development of Programmers within the team.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    As a Lead Render Programmer, you will:

    • Take leadership for the Rendering engineers through a combination of coaching, direction-setting, and hands-on engineering
    • Collaborate with Design, Development, Production, and Product leadership to ensure that Render systems are well-integrated and support overall game goals.
    • Collaborate with our Tech Art department and art directors to provide effective solutions
    • Architect, prototype, build, and maintain rendering systems in high quality C++.
    • Create detailed and highly-accessible documentation for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • 5-7 years experience as a Render programmer in games, with at least one Shipped AAA title
    • Exhibit strong leadership qualities such as motivation, positivity, and active listening
    • Foster high standards in communication, collaboration, and coding
    • Oversee technical planning and task delegation
    • Strong understanding of 3D rendering algorithms and related mathematics.
    • Strong knowledge of one or more rendering APIs such as DirectX, Vulkan or console ones
    • Expertise in multiple programming languages, including C++
    • Strong understanding of low-level systems such as physics, networking, and memory
    • Familiarity with game engines, IDEs, source control, and build infrastructure
    • Experience working as a render developer on Unreal Engine 4 or 5
