JOB SUMMARY
The VelocityEHS Lifecycle Email Marketing Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing email marketing across the full prospect and customer lifecycles. As a member of the Demand Generation team, this role will manage and optimize email programs that drive engagement, demand generation, conversion, adoption, retention, and expansion.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in email marketing management and optimization, with a focus on delivering impactful and effective outreach for a B2B SaaS audience. Responsibilities include tracking and reporting on campaign performance, testing content and design, and managing email opt-in
and opt-out processes to improve targeting and reduce unsubscribes.

The Lifecycle Email Marketing Manager will manage and optimize the use of Marketo and 6sense email solutions, including AI capabilities, leveraging audience data, segmentation, personalization, and performance insights to strengthen lifecycle communications. This role will also ensure AI-generated content and recommendations meet VelocityEHS standards for brand voice, compliance, accuracy, and quality.

The role requires a strong understanding of email marketing tools and best practices, along with the ability to collaborate across Sales, Demand Engagement, Product Marketing, Design, and other cross-functional teams to align email strategies with broader marketing initiatives and business objectives.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage email marketing across the prospect and customer lifecycles, including the roadmap, calendar, governance, communication cadence, and program priorities, in alignment with the broader lifecycle marketing strategy.
  • Manage the use of Marketo and 6sense email solutions, including AI capabilities, to execute and optimize campaigns, nurture programs, audience segmentation, personalization, and content development.
  • Create and maintain performance dashboards and own monthly and quarterly business reviews for the email channel, using campaign data, AI-enabled insights, engagement predictions, and structured testing to communicate results, identify opportunities, recommend improvements, and optimize content, design, targeting, personalization, send timing, and overall program performance.
  • Partner with Campaigns, Customer Marketing, and Product Marketing to develop prospect and customer lifecycle strategies, including nurture programs, segmentation, communication cadences, and opt-in/opt-out processes.
  • Translate lifecycle strategy into end-to-end email flows across the prospect and customer lifecycles, coordinating web and other channel activity across the VelocityEHS solution portfolio to ensure leads and accounts are appropriately routed into relevant nurture programs and campaigns, with clear coverage, sequencing, and progression.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align email activity with broader marketing and business objectives, ensure AI-generated outputs meet brand and compliance standards, and apply evolving best practices in lifecycle marketing, email, AI, privacy, and deliverability.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in email marketing, lifecycle marketing, demand generation, marketing automation, marketing communications, or a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing email or lifecycle marketing programs that support a broader channel strategy.
  • Strong understanding of B2B marketing and the role of email across prospect and customer journeys.
  • Hands-on experience with relevant marketing tools, including Marketo and 6sense, with experience using or managing AI-enabled workflows, automation, personalization, and campaign optimization capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of email and lifecycle marketing principles, including audience segmentation, nurture strategy, personalization, performance measurement, A/B testing, deliverability, subscription management, and program optimization.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate campaign data, performance trends, and AI-enabled insights into strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple programs, timelines, stakeholders, and priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing and evaluating messaging for different prospect and customer audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to evaluate email and AI-generated content for accuracy, brand alignment, compliance, and quality.
  • Ability to build trust and collaborate across departments, adapt to changing priorities, and take accountability for channel outcomes and performance.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in a software-as-a-service (SaaS) environment.
  • Experience managing lifecycle programs across both prospect and customer audiences.
  • Experience establishing processes or governance for AI-assisted marketing programs.

VelocityEHS is committed to competitive, fair, and equitable compensation practices by offering market-based salary ranges. The expected salary for this position is between $84,650 - $105,000 USD (United States) or $77,750 and $94,900 CAD (Canada). We aim to hire between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range and offers at the maximum of the range are uncommon. The final offered salary will be based on candidate’s proficiency in skill set, prior relevant experience, internal equity, market considerations, and other factors. This role is also eligible for our comprehensive benefits package.
