The Role


As Envitia continues to grow, we’re looking for a Management Accountant to join our busy and collaborative Finance team. This is a newly created role, offering a great opportunity to make a real impact and help shape how financial information supports decision‑making across the business.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll play a key role in producing accurate, timely management information, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and providing insight that helps teams understand performance and plan effectively. You’ll be joining a supportive, friendly environment where finance is seen as a true partner to the wider organisation.

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting skills with a proactive, positive mindset, who enjoys working collaboratively, takes pride in accuracy, and is keen to develop their skills as the company grows.

We’re open to flexible working arrangements for this role.

The position is available as 4 days per week, or 30 hours per week pro‑rata, depending on what works best for the successful candidate.


 Responsibilities

  • Monthly accrual calculations and reconciliations
  • Monthly cost analysis vs budget
  • Inter-company reconciliations
  • Support the Financial Controller in the production of management information
  • Assist with project accounting and forecasting, working with project teams to understand resource profile and provide explanations of any variances to agreed budgets
  • Manage monthly end-to-end payroll and pension process including HMRC submissions, reconciling payroll data to Xero ledger and analysis against budget
  • Assisting with interim and full year audit procedures
  • Ad-hoc analysis and finance related projects to support the business, as required
  • Providing cover for other members of the finance team as appropriate
  • Continual improvement of our current finance processes, highlighting areas for development.
  • Any other finance team duties to support the success of Envitia

Experience Required

  • Talent for building and maintaining excellent working relationships with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Capacity to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritise workload independently
  • Experience working with cloud based financial systems e.g. Xero, ApprovalMax, ExpenseIn
  • Intermediate use of excel including but not limited to; pivot tables, XLOOKUPS, SUMIFS, conditional formatting, data validation
  • Ability to work with foreign currencies

Security Clearance Requirements


The successful candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain a SC level security.


Location


The role will require travel to our Horsham offices 1 day a week.
