Merchant Cloud (formerly MPGS - Mastercard Payment Gateway Services) is a cornerstone of Acceptance & Merchant Solutions in Europe, enabling acquirers, merchants, PSPs, and payment facilitators to deliver seamless, secure and scalable customer experiences across channels. As part of our growth and innovation agenda, the Consultant/ Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our partnerships in Europe. This role is central to expanding Merchant Cloud's product proposition and revenue opportunities through strategic alliances.
We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to join our team, assisting in the management of Merchant Cloud as a Product and its wide-ranging client base across Europe-including SMEs, enterprises, PSPs, and acquiring partners. In this dynamic position, you will work on product management & operations, account management and revenue management, playing a vital role in our team's achievements and the continued expansion of our partnerships throughout Europe.
Our team oversees the entire portfolio of Merchant Cloud customers and regional Product in Europe, striving to deliver outstanding service to diverse clients and collaborators while fostering ongoing growth in both relationships and revenues within the region.
Key Responsibilities• Lead important customer initiatives that require specialized knowledge of the product and its operations, working closely with relevant teams (Engineering, Finance, Compliance and Legal) to ensure high-quality service and timely issue resolution. • Develop and sustain strong connections with our European customers-including SMEs, enterprises, PSPs, and acquirers-serving as their reliable contact for support, performance evaluations, and development opportunities. • Promote our products and services for our sales pipeline by cross-selling through Merchant Cloud and educating clients about what we offer such as Agentic Commerce, Network Tokenization and other services (ways of payment, authentication, fraud and more).• Drive continuous improvement in partner performance, identifying new growth opportunities and ensuring delivery against KPIs. • Act as a SME for all aspects of the Merchant Cloud, leading discussions with both internal and external partners on how the product and its services work and why.• Collect customer feedback and coordinate prioritization and delivery with the Global Product team.• Assist in forecasting revenue, analyzing transaction data, monitoring regional KPIs, leadership reporting and pinpointing ways to maximize benefits for both the business and its customers.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience• Strong understanding of payment gateways, acquiring, end-to-end transaction lifecycle/ processing, embedded finance, and digital commerce ecosystems. • Fluent in English• Experience supporting products and clients in fintech or payments sectors• Experience in product management • Experience with reporting tools such as Salesforce and Tableau is a plus.• Proven project management skills• Strong issue management skills• Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills• Proactive mindset towards solving problems and enhancing processes• Capacity to cooperate across teams and with external partners• Proficient in MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel• Experience in using AI tools or strong will to learn.
