The Role
As the Manager, Workday HCM Specialist you will help optimise and evolve our Workday HCM ecosystem. This role partners closely with the People Team, Technology, and key cross-functional stakeholders to design, implement, and continuously improve Workday functionality across the employee lifecycle. You’ll bring strong system expertise, a continuous-improvement mindset, and a passion for enabling effective, data-driven people processes, while also supporting training and mentoring within the team.
What will you be dong?
Lead Workday enhancements by collaborating with Technology & key stakeholders to facilitate scoping, testing & implementation
Provide deep system and functional expertise, while administering solutions for targeted customer segments
Partner with our People Data & Insights expert to develop, maintain and enhance Workday reporting & analytics functionality
Collaborate with our Technology team to ensure that user requests are reviewed and align with our Workday global design principles
Conduct ongoing Workday HCM optimisation workshops, including business process redesign, implementation of critical enhancements
Perform fit/gap analysis on processes that drive continuous improvements to enhance organisational performance
Maintain, execute and govern our process and data auditing strategy, ensuring that all changes and updates adhere to this
Lead training efforts for end users on new processes/functionality, including reviewing all user procedures, guidelines, and documentation that is created by the team
Lead Workday trainings for new hires in the People Departmen,t as well as continued education Workday trainings and guidance for current People team members
Issue resolution, including issue identification, design of solution, configuration of solution, impact analysis, change management and end-user training
Mentor junior members of the team
About you
3-5 years of Workday HCM experience, with knowledge in the following: Advanced Compensation, Talent Management, Performance Management, Recruitment, Core HCM, Reporting & Analytics, EIBs
Worked within an HR/People team and understands technology enablement and embedment across HR processes
Experience with mid-large scale Workday module implementations
Strong Excel/Google Sheet skills (e.g. VLOOKUP, COUNTIF, IF, Pivot Tables)
Strong understanding of Workday configurable security, reporting and calculated fields
Strong documentation skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to prioritise and deliver enhancements
Eager to Learn: You’re curious, open to trial and error, and actively seek to grow both technical and non-technical skills.
Analytical Thinking: You have the ability to break down complex problems into smaller components, identify trends, and draw logical, process and data driven conclusions.
Strong Communicator: You’re a good listener and can clearly articulate your ideas.
Project Management: You can plan and monitor project phases while engaging relevant stakeholders throughout the process.
